Merchology seeks an Account Manager for our Sales team. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Manager is a critical role that will influence the customer project journey and maintain account relationships. Each Account Manager will be responsible for managing projects from two-three sales representatives. Account Managers will represent the entire range of company products and services to their assigned customers, while ensuring the customer’s needs and expectations are met.
A successful Account Manager will:
• Collaborate with 2-3 assigned Strategic Account Executives to meet average conversion rate and quota goals.
• Complete weekly engagements with new and repeat customers, including proactive outreaches via email, phone calls, web meetings, and in person meetings.
• Effectively manage 50 or more customer projects at a time.
• Collaborate with retail brand partners on product options, stock, and pricing.
• Cross-departmental coordination of quotes, mock-ups, and shipping expectations.
• Participate in monthly pipeline review meetings and quarterly account plan meetings with assigned reps.
• Keep projects up to date, overcome challenges, and close projects timely.
• Communicate effectively with the Customer Service team on out-of-stock projects, and project details.
• Create professional presentations to outline product options for customers.
• Ensure seamless project hand-off with Customer Service team once order is placed.
• Complete additional projects or duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (business, marketing, communications); a combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
• 1+ years as a Project Manager, preferably in B2B sales.
• Demonstrated experience in B2B sales.
• Candidates must demonstrate ability to quickly understand new customer needs and provide assistance, direction, and insights to convert their business.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and relationship building skills.
• Adaptable to evolving processes and product offerings.
• Ability to influence decision makers and build relationships.
• Analytical skills to leverage data and research opportunities.
• Proficiency with technology and experience with CRM software (E.g, Hubspot).
• Multimedia skills to engage large groups, including phone, video and in-person presentations.
• Proficiency with engaging and effective business communication.
