Welcome to realbuzz. The home of charity running. We have been connecting charities with runners and the events they want to be part for over twenty years, from marathons to 10kms and everything in between. As the world’s leading provider of charity running programmes, we are proud to have facilitated over £1bn in vital fundraising so far for our charity partners and we’re just getting started. Our mission is to make charity running more accessible, worldwide, so more people can make their miles mean more.
We’re looking for a Marketing Partnerships Manager to join our fast-growing marketing function, to connect runners with the gear, rewards, and experiences they love, deepening customer loyalty and driving marketing revenues. With running booming, as we expand our reach and deepen our community impact, we're launching a brand-new CPA-based rewards programme and building out our commercial offering through innovative brand partnerships.
The role:
We're looking for a commercially minded affiliate marketing specialist to lead the development, launch, and growth of our new CPA rewards programme, tailored for runners. As our Marketing Partnerships Manager you'll be instrumental in building our affiliate program from the ground up, driving tenancy revenues, and securing strategic brand sponsorships across the running and fitness ecosystem.
This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to shape a new revenue stream and work with major brands in the health, fitness, apparel, and sports sectors. You’ll be joining a small but mighty organisation in huge growth so this is a big opportunity for someone who can both ideate and create!
As the Marketing Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities:
• Build and manage a CPA-based affiliate rewards programme aimed at runners and active lifestyle consumers
• Identify, recruit, and nurture relationships with relevant affiliate partners, influencers, and platforms
• Develop and deliver strategies to maximise affiliate performance and ROI, including negotiating exclusive offers and optimising the customer journey for runners and subscribers looking for relevant reward
• Drive tenancy revenues by identifying commercial opportunities with brands across our digital ecosystem
• Identify and execute monetisation opportunities across our marketing ecosystem including our owned channels, website and event partner inventory
• Collaborate with the wider marketing team to create compelling affiliate and sponsorship propositions
• Support sponsorship acquisition effort, working alongside the Head of Marketing, pitching and securing partnerships with aligned brands
• Monitor, analyse, and report on affiliate and partnership performance
• Stay current on affiliate trends, tools, and platforms relevant to performance marketing and sports brands.
• Support the wider marketing function, by attending our offline event activations, sometimes including international travel given our global reach.
Experience
• Proven experience managing affiliate marketing programmes, ideally within a CPA or performance-based model.
• Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering revenue through partnerships and sponsorships.
• Knowledge of affiliate platforms, tracking tools, and analytics (e.g. Impact, Partnerize, Awin, etc.). Experience working directly as part of a network is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong communicator, self-starter, and natural collaborator.
• Passion for running, fitness, or active lifestyle sectors is a major plus.
The person
• Organised and driven.
• Confident and personable communicator.
• Not afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in – this is a hands-on role with massive scope for growth
• Excited by a ’scale up’ environment, able to both strategise and execute.
• Wants to be part of an organisation that makes a difference!
