Role description
The Affiliate PR Account Manager at KMO is responsible for managing and growing our clients' affiliate marketing and PR programs. The Affiliate PR Account Manager role will work closely with clients, affiliate partners, and internal teams to drive the success and profitability of these programs. They have a strong understanding (OR an interest/willingness to learn) of affiliate marketing strategies, commerce-led public relations, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building and nurturing relationships. Requirements: • Located in Greater Chicago area • Able and willing to meet in-person once or twice a week • Working laptop to complete work responsibilities Responsibilities: 1. Affiliate PR Strategy: Develop and implement affiliate PR marketing strategies that drive revenue growth and customer acquisition. 1. Affiliate Management: Manage affiliate relationships (including: content and non-content partners), and ensure that affiliates are effectively promoting clients' products and services. Develop and implement communication strategies that foster positive relationships with affiliates, and provide ongoing support and guidance to affiliates. 1. E-commerce Public Relations: Develop an ongoing ecommerce PR strategy that drives revenue growth and customer acquisition. Develop PR copy and pitch commerce editors weekly. Manage and delegate support to the operations team to fulfill editor product requests. 1. Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth through affiliate marketing programs by developing innovative strategies that increase traffic, leads, and sales. Analyze affiliate performance data and metrics, and identify opportunities to optimize performance. 1. Reporting and Analysis: Analyze affiliate performance data and metrics, and provide regular reports to clients and internal stakeholders. Identify trends and opportunities, and develop strategies to improve program performance. 1. Team Management: Manage and delegate tasks to the operations team, and develop a positive and supportive work environment that fosters growth, creativity, and collaboration. Requirements: Skills • 2-5 years of experience (OR an interest/willingness to learn) in marketing and/or affiliate marketing with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing large-scale affiliate networks. • 2-5 years of experience (OR an interest/willingness to learn) in public relations, with a proven track record of securing top-tier publisher coverage. • Proven track record of deadline-driven project management, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and implement forward-thinking strategies as a result. • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to inform business decisions. • Deep understanding (OR interest/willingness to learn) of large-scale Affiliate technologies/platforms (Impact, Rakuten Advertising, CJ, Pepperjam/Ascend, AWIN). • Strong financial management skills, with the ability to manage budgets and track incremental revenue growth and profitability. • Experience in the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including social media, PR, and email, is a huge plus. • Knowledge of SEO, paid social, and other digital marketing channels, and how they intertwine with the Affiliate channel, is a huge plus. • Proficiency in project management tools (Slack, Clickup.) is preferred. • Proficiency in the editor database program (Muckrack) is preferred.
