Duties and Responsibilities β€’ Develop and execute business development strategies targeting shelf-stable food markets across multiple channels: retail, foodservice, private label, contract manufacturing, and e-commerce. β€’ Evaluate and prioritize new business opportunities based on profitability, production capabilities, and long-term alignment. β€’ Identify and secure new customer partnerships and distribution opportunities. β€’ Develop and lead the e-commerce strategy β€’ Build and manage relationships with key buyers, brokers, online retailers, and distribution partners. β€’ Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to generate leads and strengthen brand presence. β€’ Lead the negotiation and execution of contracts, pricing structures, and service-level agreements. β€’ Work closely with R&D, marketing, operations, quality, and finance to align commercial strategy with operational capabilities. β€’ Guide new product development efforts based on customer needs, market gaps, and innovation trends. β€’ Develop and maintain annual Sales & Marketing budgets β€’ Provide regular updates to the executive team on sales pipeline, KPIs, revenue forecasts, and strategic goals. Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, or related field required; MBA preferred β€’ Minimum of 10 years of management level experience within the food manufacturing industry, preferably a shelf-stable co-manufacturer, focusing on business development or marketing β€’ Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, regulatory requirements, and supply chain dynamics. β€’ Proven track record in identifying new markets, closing complex deals, and scaling revenue streams. β€’ Experience in working with large national accounts, retailers, and government procurement (preferred). β€’ Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. β€’ Proficiency in CRM tools, business analytics, and e-commerce platforms. β€’ Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally and manage various projects simultaneously β€’ Willingness to travel (up to 50%) as required to develop client relationships and explore new markets.
