Responsibilities:
β’ Use machine learning and statistical techniques to create scalable risk management systems
β’ Learning and understanding large amounts of Amazonβs historical business data for specific instances of risk or broader risk trends
β’ Design, development and evaluation of highly innovative models for risk management
β’ Working closely with software engineering teams to drive real-time model implementations and new feature creations
β’ Working closely with operations staff to optimize risk management operations
β’ Establishing scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation
β’ Tracking general business activity and providing clear, compelling management reporting on a regular basis
β’ Research and implement novel machine learning and statistical approaches
Qualifications:
Required:
β’ Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, machine learning or equivalent quantitative field
β’ Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
β’ Experience with SQL and an RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) or Data Warehouse
Preferred:
β’ Experience implementing algorithms using both toolkits and self-developed code
β’ Have publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
