They are currently looking to add an Associate Merchandise Planner to their team. Their team blends creativity and data-driven insights to bring high-quality, on-trend products to market. Salary/Hourly Rate $27/hr - $30/hr Position Overview We are seeking an experienced freelance Associate Merchandise Planner to partner with the Buying, Planning, and Merchandising teams in developing and executing strategic merchandise plans. This role will focus on optimizing inventory levels, driving sales, and maximizing profitability through effective forecasting, assortment planning, and inventory management. Responsibilities Of The Associate Merchandise Planner • Develop and maintain seasonal merchandise plans aligned with financial and assortment strategies. • Analyze sales trends, historical data, and market insights to forecast demand and recommend adjustments to inventory and assortment. • Partner with buying and merchandising teams to manage in-season OTB (Open-to-Buy) and make timely reforecasting decisions. • Create and maintain weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales and inventory reports. • Monitor sell-through rates, identify underperforming categories, and recommend actions to improve productivity. • Ensure optimal stock levels across channels (retail, e-commerce, wholesale) to minimize markdowns and maximize margins. • Support cross-functional teams with ad-hoc analysis and insights to inform strategic decisions. Required Experience/Skills for the Associate Merchandise Planner: • 3+ years of merchandise planning experience in retail, fashion, or consumer goods. • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Preferred Experience/Skills for the Associate Merchandise Planner: • Luxury or specialty retail experience is preferred. Education Requirements: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
