Role description
The Brand Manager - Food & Beverage Accounts will serve as the day-to-day lead across a portfolio of F&B clients, managing brand strategy, marketing execution, and cross-functional coordination across internal teams. This role requires a sharp understanding of the CPG food and beverage landscape—from emerging challenger brands to high-growth category leaders—and the ability to support go-to-market plans, campaign rollouts, and performance marketing across channels. The ideal candidate has experience managing multiple brands simultaneously, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about storytelling, operational excellence, and brand building.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand & Client Leadership - Food & Beverage Accounts
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned F&B clients, delivering best-in-class communication, project oversight, and strategic partnership.
• Lead onboarding for new food and beverage accounts, including category research, positioning analysis, and strategic roadmap development.
• Own and maintain client marketing calendars, launch trackers, agendas, and project timelines to ensure all workstreams stay aligned.
• Develop and maintain client-specific decks, brand documents, GTM frameworks, and performance recaps.
• Collaborate with internal departments (creative, paid, lifecycle, influencer, affiliate, eCommerce, Amazon) to ensure alignment with each client's brand goals and business objectives.
• Translate client feedback and performance insights into next steps and refined campaign direction.
1. Food & Beverage Marketing Strategy & Execution
• Support the planning and execution of product launches, brand campaigns, retail expansions, and digital initiatives.
• Manage seasonal marketing moments, limited-time offers, new product intros (NPIs), and brand storytelling initiatives across DTC, retail, and omnichannel.
• Partner with influencer, affiliate, paid, and lifecycle teams to ensure messaging and creative are optimized and cohesive across all channels.
• Conduct trend analysis and category audits across key verticals (snacks, beverages, better-for-you, functional foods, etc.) to inform campaign strategies.
• Track key performance metrics (KPIs), report on campaign outcomes, and provide strategic insights to optimize future efforts.
1. Project Management & Workflow Coordination
• Manage workflows, timelines, and approvals within project management platforms (e.g., Asana), ensuring team accountability and deadline adherence.
• Draft briefs, scope deliverables, and coordinate task assignments across creative, strategy, and marketing functions.
• Oversee packaging updates, digital asset development, sample coordination, and creative QA across web, retail, email, and paid media.
• Ensure final deliverables are on-brand, on-time, and aligned with F&B compliance standards and retailer requirements when applicable.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in CPG brand marketing, client management, or project coordination—agency or startup experience strongly preferred.
• Proven experience with food & beverage brands across categories such as functional beverages, snacks, wellness products, or refrigerated goods.
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple accounts, campaigns, and workstreams concurrently.
• Strong understanding of omnichannel marketing across DTC, Amazon, and retail (e.g., Whole Foods, Sprouts, Target, Thrive Market, etc.).
• Proficiency in project management platforms (Asana, Trello) and common workplace tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).
• Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while leading cross-functional teams and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Competencies
• Passion for food, beverage, wellness, and consumer trends.
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven with strong project management instincts.
• Collaborative communicator with strong interpersonal and client service skills.
• Solutions-focused, strategic thinker with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agency environment.
• Culturally aware and trend-savvy with a pulse on emerging food and beverage innovation.
