COMPANY
Our Client, is a 30+ year old, asset based Third-Party Logistics and Packaging Company. Their services include warehousing, repackaging, bulk-transferring, cross-docking, drayage, fulfillment and local deliveries within the retailer, apparel, and food industries. They offer over 500,000 sq. feet of warehousing space located near the ports of the Los Angeles, CA and Newark, NJ.
LOCATION
Totowa, New Jersey
Summary: The Director of Sales will be responsible for growing the organization’s warehousing, ecommerce fulfilment, and food repacking services across the United States. This position will oversee the onboarding of new clients as well as a focus on renewal strategies and other business opportunities for current clients with a heavy focus within the retail, skin care, beauty product, apparel, and dry food industries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and establish a strong understanding of company's service offerings and capabilities.
• Create a comprehensive sales strategy and business plan with a heavy focus on bringing on new clients.
• Identify specific prospective clients and opportunities that fit within the organizations competencies and service offerings.
• Evaluate current programs and implement short- and long-term strategies.
• Plan, organize and build a sales and support team.
• Develop and maintain a robust network of contacts.
• Build influential relationships with multiple contacts with key clients.
• Build and maintain a strong working relationship with internal ownership, Operations, and support teams.
• Participate and initiate customer visits, quarterly QBR’s and be a conduit for escalations and issues resolution.
• Be knowledgeable of competitors and industry trends.
• Develop goals, policies and procedures for the sales organization.
• Develop KPI’s for sales targets within the sales organization.
• Performs other position related duties as specified by management
Required Education and Experience:
• BA, BS, degree preferred and or higher degree of education
• 5 + Years experience in the 3PL & Contract Logistics, and ecommerce industry’s.
• Proven solution oriented and consultative sales approach
• The ideal candidate will have an established book of business that align with the organizations industry vertical focus including, but not limited to: retail, skin care, beauty product, apparel, and dry food, etc.
• Deep experience with solutions-based sales,. Passionate about success and owning the customer experience from the beginning through contract execution.
