Role description
HomeRoots is a startup aiming to disrupt the B2B wholesale of Furniture & Home Decor leveraging AI based platform that enables manufacturers and distributors from all over the world to penetrate and/or expand their market share in the North America retail market.
Role Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development professional to accelerate growth in the B2B eCommerce space. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving client acquisition across manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors looking to digitize or scale their operations online.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Identify and engage prospective B2B clients (e.g., manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, businesses β decision makers) through targeted outreach and networking.
β’ Spot and pursue partnership opportunities to scale the above.Understand client supply chain, procurement, and digital transformation needs to position our eCommerce platform/solutions effectively.
β’ Build and maintain a strong pipeline of leads using outbound tactics (email, LinkedIn, cold calls) and inbound lead qualification.
β’ Experience with tech tools for at-scale outreach is preferable to conduct discovery meetings and product demos tailored to decision-makers and buying committees.
β’ Plan and travel to relevant events to meet prospects. Develop tailored proposals and negotiate deals that align with client objectives and company goals.
β’ Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and customer success teams to ensure a smooth handoff and long-term client satisfaction.
β’ Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to refine messaging and go-to-market strategies.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
β’ Proven track record in business development or B2B sales, preferably within eCommerce, SaaS, logistics, or digital platforms.
β’ Strong understanding of digital commerce, procurement systems, supply chains, and B2B buyer behavior.
β’ Exceptional communication and consultative selling skills.
β’ Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Pipedrive, Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage pipelines and track performance.
β’ Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
