Role description
About the Role The Digital Business Intelligence Analyst will play a key role in unlocking insights from JLab’s fastest-growing sales and marketing channels. This role is all about transforming raw digital data into business intelligence that fuels growth. You’ll work hands-on with marketplace analytics, campaign performance data, customer behavior trends, and social commerce insights. By connecting the dots across Amazon, TikTok and Shopify, you’ll help shape strategies that improve conversion, optimize spend, and expand JLab’s reach. This is a fast-paced, high-growth environment where no two days look the same. The ideal candidate is comfortable jumping between Amazon reporting, TikTok affiliate performance, and product analytics, while translating complex data into insights that drive business impact. Key Responsibilities β€’ Data Collection & Integration: Aggregate and structure data from Amazon (Brand Analytics, AMC, DSP, Seller Central), TikTok (TikTok Shop, creator/affiliate data, paid campaign metrics), and digital platforms including Shopify, PostHog, and GA4. Leverage SQL, BI tools, and ETL/ATL processes to make data clean, comparable, and actionable. β€’ Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs across Amazon, TikTok, and web analytics platforms, such as traffic-to-conversion paths, TikTok affiliate GMV, creator ROI, sales performance by product line, and multi-channel attribution. β€’ Insight Generation: Identify trends in customer behavior, product performance, affiliate engagement, and paid media effectiveness. Translate findings into recommendations for pricing, promotions, advertising strategy, and affiliate partnerships. β€’ Reporting & Visualization: Build dashboards and reports in tools like Power BI and Tableau, to simplify complex datasets from sales, marketing, and product analytics platforms for leadership and cross-functional teams to easily action off. β€’ Problem Solving: Use marketplace, social commerce, and product analytics data to diagnose challenges (e.g., underperforming campaigns, declining ROAS, engagement drops in PostHog or GA4) and recommend solutions quickly. Expectations for Success β€’ Provide clear, concise answers quickly, turning requests into actionable insights without long turnaround times. β€’ Be proactive in flagging key findings and anomalies before being asked. β€’ Translate complex data into straightforward, story-driven summaries for non-technical stakeholders. β€’ Manage multiple requests and projects at once, prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment. β€’ Act as a go-to partner for Amazon, TikTok, and product analytics questions, helping teams get to data-driven decisions faster. Skills & Qualifications β€’ Proficiency with SQL and Excel for querying, analyzing, and transforming data. β€’ Experience with BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). β€’ Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ATL (Analyze, Transform, Load) workflows; able to leverage pipelines and tools without needing to engineer them. β€’ Strong analytical skills with proven ability to turn large, messy datasets, especially from Amazon, TikTok, GA4, and PostHog, into actionable insights. β€’ Solid business acumen with an understanding of e-commerce, digital marketing, and affiliate ecosystems. β€’ Excellent communication skills for presenting findings in a clear, story-driven way. β€’ Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and stakeholders. Preferred Background β€’ 2–4 years in business intelligence, e-commerce analytics, or digital marketing analytics. β€’ Direct experience with Amazon (Brand Analytics, AMC, DSP, Vendor/Seller Central) and/or TikTok (Shop analytics, affiliate data, paid campaign reporting). β€’ Familiarity with PostHog, GA4, and product analytics workflows. β€’ Exposure to CRM systems, retail media platforms, or influencer marketing tools is a plus.
