Job Description
Weβre looking for a driven and detail-oriented Category Analyst to join our team and support the continued growth of our product categories. In this role, you'll play a key part in researching new product opportunities, executing timely product launches, and driving performance through proactive analysis of sales, gross profit, and quality metrics.
Youβll also be responsible for keeping web content current and optimized, ensuring our customers have access to accurate and compelling product information. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys digging into data, and wants to make an immediate impact.This position is full-time and located in Lancaster, PA, but is hybrid-friendly for those within a 1-hour driving radius.
Category Analysts serve Clarkβs procurement division, which buys products for our various distribution channels (industry leading Ecommerce platform WebstaurantStore.com, The Restaurant Stores, Clark National Accounts, Clark Food Service Equipment, and 11400, Inc.). In 2023, we reached $3.6B in sales from a catalog of 450K+ SKUs.
Responsibilities
β’ New product research, comparison, analysis, and operational set up?
β’ Proactive analysis of category performance β sales, GP, trends, quality control, etc.?
β’ Executes web enhancements and new product pages, and ensures timely launch of new products?
Physical Requirements
β’ Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
β’ Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
β’ Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
β’ Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
β’ Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
Experience
β’ Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Microsoft Power BI, etc.
β’ Critical/Analytical thinking and basic problem-solving skills?
Education
β’ We consider applicants with diverse majors and work history; however, applicants frequently have education in Business Management, Supply Chain, Business Logistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Marketing, or a related field. Relevant positions include Buyer, Procurement Analyst, Vendor Analyst, Pricing Analyst, Brand Analyst, and Marketing Analyst.
