Purpose:
The focus of this role is on commercial strategy, market needs, and execution—combining a passion for product with strong business management skills. You’ll turn insights into direction, anticipate customer and market needs, and ensure our bag collections not only come to life on time and with impact, but also truly resonate with customers and drive the growth of the Liberty brand worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Commercial Execution:
• Drive the commercial strategy for Bags, building detailed plans for pricing, assortment, and launches.
• Work across product, marketing, and sales teams to ensure timely delivery and strong market performance.
• Coordinate and oversee launches, ensuring alignment across e-commerce, marketing, and retail channels.
Collection Planning & Delivery:
• Partner with Design and Product Development to shape seasonal bag assortments, ensuring collections reflect customer demand and market opportunities.
• Oversee the critical path from concept to launch, maintaining the drumbeat across teams to ensure collections are delivered on time, in full, and to the right standard.
• Track progress and proactively flag risks or bottlenecks, ensuring launches stay firmly on schedule and aligned to business needs.
Market Readiness & Marketing Support:
• Prepare commercial briefs and key product messages for marketing and sales teams.
• Support global collection roll-outs by ensuring regional teams are equipped with the right tools and product knowledge.
• Share commercial insights to drive engagement and maximise performance across markets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
• Lead internal product presentations and seasonal trainings to align teams.
• Help improve processes to increase efficiency and strengthen cross-team collaboration.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to help shape category strategies.
About You:
• 5 years’ experience in merchandising, or category management—ideally in leather accessories.
• A genuine passion for product and curiosity for how customers engage with it.
• Strong commercial awareness, with proven ability to turn insights and numbers into actionable strategies.
• Confidence in managing projects, operations, and cross-functional coordination.
• A logical, proactive thinker who can anticipate needs, spot opportunities, and solve problems early.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
