Role overview The Chief Growth Officer will be fully accountable for the revenue performance and strategic direction of a single brand within Malaberg. This role is not about overseeing a brand in a traditional marketing sense - it is about ensuring the brand achieves aggressive revenue growth targets while maintaining brand integrity. The ideal candidate is someone who has either run an e-commerce business before or has deep experience in managing a brand with direct responsibility for P&L. This is a highly strategic and execution-focused role that requires strong business acumen, a deep understanding of performance marketing, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Key responsibilities β€’ Revenue growth & performance: Own the brand's revenue targets, with a focus on customer acquisition, retention, and expansion. Deliver consistent month-over-month growth, aiming for YoY growth. β€’ Strategic leadership: Make key decisions regarding promotions, pricing, and market expansion. Oversee all brand-related marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives. β€’ Cross-functional management: Work closely with internal teams, including media buying, creative, branding, and copywriting, to optimize performance. While these teams do not report directly, the Chief of Brand will be responsible for managing their output and ensuring alignment with brand objectives. β€’ Affiliate & media buying expertise: Leverage past experience in affiliate marketing and performance-driven media buying to ensure efficient resource allocation and campaign effectiveness. β€’ Brand integrity & decision making: Serve as the final authority on brand-related decisions, ensuring consistency and alignment with the overarching brand vision. β€’ Market expansion & innovation: Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, including new sales channels (e.g., TikTok, partnerships, collaborations) and innovative marketing strategies. β€’ Financial & operational oversight: Define and manage the brand’s P&L, making data-driven decisions to optimize profitability and growth. Preferred experience & qualifications β€’ Results-oriented & high-drive: A relentless focus on hitting revenue targets, optimizing performance, and scaling efficiently. β€’ Paid media: Hands-on experience with affiliate marketing, media buying, or performance marketing, with a strong understanding of acquisition and retention strategies. β€’ Entrepreneurial background: Either past experience running their own business or holding a senior role with significant ownership in a growth-focused brand.
