Reporting to: Managing Director & Creative Director
Salary: 130-150K + Annual Bonus + Benefits
We’re working with a beautiful, design-led luxury womenswear brand based in London, known for its timeless aesthetic, meticulous craftsmanship, and emotionally resonant design. With a portfolio spanning ready-to-wear, accessories, and lifestyle collections, the business operates across multiple brands, each with a unique identity and loyal following.
The brand has an established global presence through international flagship stores, premium concessions, and select wholesale partnerships, as well as a DTC business and a bespoke VIP/HNW client division. As the business enters an exciting phase of international growth and commercial refinement, we’re seeking a talented Commercial Director to join the leadership team.
The Role
The Commercial Director will help shape, drive and lead the brand’s global commercial strategy. This role will oversee all revenue-driving channels and the divisions/teams responsible for Wholesale, Retail, E-commerce, Buying & Merch & VIP/Private client relationships. You will play a key part in realising the company’s growth ambitions through driving commercial strategy, combining a hands-on and strategic approach, ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time, presenting new opportunities, whilst maintaining creative integrity and customer excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute the global commercial growth strategy across all channels:
• Ready-to-wear and accessories
• International stores and concessions
• DTC & Ecommerce
• Wholesale partnerships
• VIP and high-net-worth clientele
• Lead and develop high-performing teams across Sales, Buying & Merch, Retail, and Client services.
• Drive international expansion, including identifying new opportunities, new market entry, store openings, and cross-border partnerships.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale accounts, aligning commercial success with brand positioning.
• Collaborate closely with the Creative Director & Marketing to ensure all commercial initiatives reflect the brand’s vision and values.
• Partner with the VIP/HNW team to enhance client retention, experience, and revenue through curated services and events.
• Own and present commercial performance reports, forecasts, and recommendations to the senior leadership team.
The Ideal Candidate
• 10+ years of senior commercial experience within luxury fashion ideally across both ready-to-wear and accessories. Luxury womenswear. Mono-brand & multi-brand expertise is ideal though not essential.
• Proven success managing and scaling multi-channel businesses with a strong global presence.
• Experience overseeing international retail networks, concessions, and high-value wholesale relationships.
• Strong leadership credentials and the ability to manage and inspire multi-disciplinary teams.
• Exceptional strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, delivery-focused mindset.
• An intuitive understanding of the luxury consumer, including VIP and HNW clientele.
• Superb trading expertise & commercial acumen with proven Buying/Merchandising/Range selection experience.
• Deep respect for creative processes, with the ability to balance brand integrity and commercial performance.
