Role description
Location: Hybrid (Central London 1–2 days/week)
Industry: Beauty / Accessories / Innovation - Needs to come from similar background
The Brand
This is not your average beauty brand.
Founded by a former tech startup leader who traded burnout for something better, this team launched its first product on Amazon back in 2017 with nothing but a Google search and a stubborn belief in solving real problems. Fast forward to today: the brand is stocked in ASOS, Sephora UK, Boots, Harrods—and now scaling fast into the US.
With innovation at their core and storytelling in their soul, they’ve built one of the UK’s most exciting beauty accessories companies. Now they’re on the hunt for a strategic communications lead to help them shape the next chapter.
The Role
Content & Communications Manager
This is a senior-level role for a sharp, commercially-minded storyteller who’s ready to take full ownership of brand communications across every touchpoint. From PR to product pages, from TikTok to trade decks, you’ll be the connective tissue that turns product features into powerful brand narratives—and makes sure they land in both the UK and US.
You’ll sit across strategy, messaging, and execution—leading the charge on content frameworks, product storytelling, and campaign positioning. You'll work closely with in-house creatives, a PR agency, external creators, and retail partners, shaping how the brand speaks to the world.
What You’ll Do
• Become the in-house expert on every feature, benefit, and innovation
• Build a smart, scalable product education strategy across all channels
• Define and evolve brand voice + content pillars
• Craft messaging that works across social, PR, retail, and video
• Manage UK and US PR agencies with clear creative direction
• Build retailer pitch decks that actually sell
• Create seasonal/trend-based content hooks that drive relevance
• Brief internal and external teams with crystal-clear strategy
• Ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints
• Track content performance and optimise messaging accordingly
The Person
You’re a hybrid of strategist, copywriter, and brand thinker. You’ve worked in beauty or fashion (agency or in-house), and you know how to make products not just understood, but wanted. You love positioning. You understand the power of a perfect angle. You’re as comfortable briefing a video shoot as you are writing a compelling one-liner.
Must-Haves
• Experience beauty or fashion communications
• Experience in content strategy across PR, digital, and retail
• Strong copywriting ability (short, sharp, and strategic)
• Agency and external team management experience
• Understanding of visual comms (video and image, not just text)
• Background in brand-building for consumer products
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience in the US beauty market
• Direct-to-consumer/ecommerce brand experience
• Worked in a fast-paced, scaling environment
• Familiarity with influencers and brand collabs
• Comfort creating content (or even being in front of the camera)
