Role description
Are you a talented and experienced CRM & Email Marketing Director looking to rise to a strategic level with a passion for music and online learning?
In this role, you will drive our e-commerce and subscription business by developing and implementing comprehensive life cycle strategies focused on customer engagement, aiming to maximize customer lifetime value, enhance loyalty, improve repeat purchase rate, and reduce churn. You will execute all lead conversion and retention programs.
In the near term, you would roll up your sleeves and dive deep into our current email programs to ensure all aspects are optimized to drive broader business objectives. In the long term, we will look to you to help build a robust retention marketing strategy, including incorporating new channels and/or programs.
Responsibilities
• Manage multiple brands and customer journey/lifecycle marketing programs under the TrueFire Studios umbrella.
• In partnership with the VP of Marketing and Chief Revenue Officer, evolve strategy to achieve engagement and financial goals for all marketing channels.
• Execute comprehensive email marketing and mobile marketing campaigns aligned with overall business goals including concepting, programming, testing, and deploying email communication.
• Develop customer segmentation strategies to deliver personalized and targeted communication.
• Maintain integrity of the email database, deliverability, etc.
• Utilize analytics to understand customer needs and preferences, tailoring strategies across email, onsite, and other channels.
• Provide regular reports and insights, identifying trends, areas for improvement, and growth opportunities.
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends in CRM, personalization, customer engagement, and recommending improvements and innovations.
• Own expansion of CRM channels, leveraging strategic insights and expertise to drive the growth and diversification of retention channels to enhance customer engagement and lifetime value.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of certifications and/or experience
• 7+ years of CRM, database marketing, email marketing, and mobile marketing experience
• Deep experience in email marketing platforms (ESPs), CRM, and marketing automation platforms - Braze, Salesforce, Cordial, HubSpot, Klaviyo, etc. - with experience in mobile marketing (text, push, in-app)
• Proven experience with customer segmentation, building workflows, automations, and customer journeys and integrations
• Demonstrated success in driving growth in engagement, retention, and revenue with experience in A/B & multivariate testing and optimizations
• Comfortable with analytics, reporting, and marketing attribution
• Knowledge of email marketing regulations, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc. - as well as knowledge and experience in managing deliverability and DMARC
• Strong eye for email design and creative, with knowledge and familiarity with HTML/CSS for email coding
• Experience with Asana, Jira, Slack, Confluence, etc.
• Strong cross-functional leadership capabilities
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
