Purpose The CRM Lead is responsible for owning the email and SMS marketing creation, strategy, and performance at Red Aspen. This role combines campaign creation with data-driven analytics to optimize customer engagement, repeat purchases, and customer lifetime value (LTV). This role will oversee both day-to-day operations and strategic development for platforms like Cordial and Postscript, while managing promotional calendars, collaborating cross-functionally, and leading improvements in retention and messaging personalization. Duties and Responsibilities • Develop and execute weekly email and SMS campaigns (45–55 per month; up to 80 in peak seasons) that align with Red Aspen's voice, branding, and marketing objectives. • Design and build visually compelling email content using tools such as Adobe or Canva, optimizing for user experience and platform compatibility. • Create and manage 2-4 promotional SMS campaigns per month to engage our audience and drive sales. • Create and manage a comprehensive content calendar for email and SMS campaigns, ensuring alignment with promotions, launches, and brand messaging • Manage relationships and regular strategy calls with Cordial and Postscript, ensuring alignment on campaign optimization and performance goals. • Analyze CRM data and campaign results to drive actionable insights and continuous improvement in open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and LTV. • Prepare and present reports on email campaign performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and insights for continuous improvement. • Lead and analyze A/B testing on email and SMS campaigns to identify and implement optimizations, enhancing overall marketing effectiveness. • Create and maintain customer segmentation strategies for targeted campaigns. • Manage, prioritize and deliver on ad hoc requests. • Ensure all CRM efforts comply with industry best practices and legal/regulatory requirements, including DNC, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA. Qualifications • 2-3+ years of experience in CRM, email and SMS marketing, digital marketing, or a related field. • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field. • Deep knowledge of CRM platforms (Cordial, Postscript, Klaviyo, etc.), with a track record of hands-on execution and strategy of email and SMS. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into effective marketing strategies. • Working knowledge of email design principles, mobile responsiveness, and segmentation strategies. • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva, with a strong eye for visual storytelling and brand consistency across digital communications. • Excellent written, oral, and copywriting skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Experience conducting A/B testing and implementing findings to optimize engagement and conversion rates. • Collaborative spirit with the ability to work cross-functionally and contribute creatively to team brainstorming and problem-solving. Preferred Qualifications • Proficiency in HTML and CSS for email template editing and troubleshooting. • Familiarity with ecommerce and/or social-selling business models. • Familiarity with Database Marketing laws (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, etc.). • Must have a love for tacos or sushi!
