Role description
A super exciting NEW opportunity has come available for an experienced Data Product Manager to join a leading eCommerce Marketplace in Manchester. Working closely with the Head of Product, you wiIl take the lead in experimentation and conversion on all customer facing platforms (web & mobile) across the group. A data heavy role, you'll be given the platform to shape and enhance engagement, create best-in-class customer journeys and ultimately deliver innovative solutions that impact conversion and drive revenue. • How can we harness data as we transform how we put the customer first? • How can we drive value and impact through innovation and efficiently delivering our customer data? • What are the right tools and infrastructure we need to leverage this data and allow the users to iterate quickly on data driven decisions? • How do we ensure the quality of the data that drives decision making? Key Responsibilities B2C2B Product Strategy & Execution • Define user personas, behavioral segments, and their transition triggers from consumer to business accounts. • Build self-serve and sales-assisted pathways to scale acquisition, onboarding, and expansion of our owners. • Work closely with commercial and customer success teams to align product initiatives with business objectives. Experimentation & Growth • Develop and execute A/B testing and multivariate experiments to optimize conversion funnels, engagement, and retention. • Define and implement a structured experimentation roadmap, balancing quick wins with long-term strategic bets. • Work closely with data analysts, researchers, and engineers to design and interpret experiments, ensuring statistical rigor. • Utilize quantitative and qualitative insights to drive continuous hypothesis generation and validation. Conversion Optimization & Customer Experience • Own and optimize the owner experience journey from first touchpoint to high-value actions (e.g., sign-ups, onboarding, upgrades). • Identify and remove friction points in the journey to increase activation and reduce drop-offs. • Lead UX research efforts to uncover pain points, opportunities, and insights to improve customer satisfaction and engagement. • Work cross-functionally with design, marketing, and engineering to ensure a cohesive and data-informed UX strategy. Who are you? An experienced Customer Experience focussed Product Manager, you'll have experience/expertise in Product Management roles, with a focus on Data Analytics, experimentation and customer experience. Plus the following: • Proven track record of designing, running, and analyzing experiments to drive measurable product improvements. • Marketing Technology and Customer Data: Experience working with tools such as Google Analytics, SA360, and Salesforce to support marketing strategies. • Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with A/B testing tools, SQL, and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Amplitude etc.). • Experience working within a B2C2B business model and understanding how individual users transition into business customers. • Deep knowledge of UX principles, usability testing, and human-centered design methodologies. • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align teams across product, design, marketing, and engineering. • Ability to balance short-term optimizations with long-term user experience and brand considerations. Nice to Have: • Experience in eCommerce, marketplaces or SaaS businesses. • Familiarity with no-code/low-code experimentation tools (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Google Optimize). • Understanding of behavioral psychology, pricing strategies, and gamification techniques. • Exposure to personalization and recommendation engines.
