Role description
Location - London (N1C 4AG) - 1 day per week in the office.
As Digital Advertising Manager, you will lead a small but high-performing team to deliver best-in-class paid media campaigns that drive growth across the UK and wider EMEA region (including Scandinavia, Benelux, Eastern Europe, and South Africa).
Reporting to the Head of Paid Media, you will set the strategic direction for paid advertising, optimise budget allocation, and ensure flawless execution across channels — while also developing and mentoring your team. You’ll collaborate closely with local market teams and wider digital functions to deliver measurable results across sales, traffic, and brand visibility.
This role offers the opportunity to work at scale, managing multi-million-pound budgets and driving impact across diverse markets.
What you will be doing:
Paid Media Leadership & Strategy
• Develop and execute paid media strategies (Search, Display, Paid Social, Programmatic, Video, Retail Media) that align with business goals.
• Lead adoption of new digital advertising technologies, AI-driven optimisation, and automation to maximise performance.
• Own media planning, forecasting, and investment decisions for multi-million-pound budgets.
Team Management & Development
• Lead and coach a team of three digital specialists, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high performance.
• Build a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Performance & Optimisation
• Ensure campaigns are delivering against KPIs (sales, ROAS, new customer acquisition, traffic quality).
• Oversee testing roadmaps, A/B experiments, and channel innovation.
• Drive best practice in tracking, attribution, and data-driven decision-making.
Cross-functional Collaboration
• Partner with local marketing teams to tailor campaigns to regional needs while maintaining global consistency.
• Collaborate with other digital teams (SEO, CRM, Content, Analytics, eCommerce) to deliver integrated customer journeys.
• Influence senior stakeholders with clear, data-led insights and recommendations.
What do I need to be successful?
If you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you:
• 4+ years’ hands-on experience in paid search and digital advertising, including managing large budgets (£1M+ annually).
• Proven track record of managing and optimising across Google Ads (Search, PMax, Display, YouTube); experience with Meta, LinkedIn, and programmatic platforms is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of digital measurement tools (Google Analytics, GA4, Adobe Analytics).
• Familiarity with bid management tools (e.g., SA360) and automation platforms.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or managing people, with a passion for team development.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Commercially driven, with experience tying paid media activity to business outcomes.
• Multi-market or EMEA-level experience a plus; fluency in French, Italian, or German is highly desirable but not mandatory.
What’s in it for you?
At RS, as well as the usual employee benefits, you’d expect from a FTSE listed company, including annual performance bonus, enhanced maternity and paternity leave and private healthcare. In the UK&I, we’ve introduced new Individual and Family Friendly Policies including:

• Support for Women at different life stages from streamlined fertility support through to diagnosis and monitoring of both endometriosis and menopause.
