Role description
Description:
At National Trade Supply, the Digital Marketing Associate supports the execution and optimization of performance marketing campaigns — with a focus on Google and Microsoft Shopping Ads. This role plays a key part in helping the team reach customer acquisition goals by managing day-to-day campaign tasks, analyzing performance data, and identifying areas for improvement.
We're looking for someone who is data-driven, curious, and eager to grow — someone who thrives in paid search but is also interested in expanding into additional digital channels such as display, social, or affiliate marketing. In this role, you’ll collaborate with analytics, merchandising, and creative teams to develop, implement, and refine marketing strategies. You’ll analyze campaign performance, test new ideas, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and experimentation.
At National Trade Supply, we operate with a shared set of core values that guide how we work and grow together: Grit, Bias for Action, Critical Thinking, Self-Awareness, and Operational Excellence. These principles shape our culture, influence our decisions, and define what it means to succeed on our team.
Key responsibilities:
Shopping Ads Management & Optimization
Manage and optimize Google and Microsoft Shopping Ads to support customer acquisition goals.
Execute daily campaign tasks such as keyword management, bid adjustments, product feed monitoring, and budget pacing.
Track performance and assist in identifying areas for campaign improvement and efficiency gains.
Performance Reporting & Analysis
Analyze campaign data using tools such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Google Analytics to assess performance trends.
Report on key metrics such as ROAS, CPC, and conversion rate, providing actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness.
Recommend optimizations based on performance findings and assist in the implementation of changes.
Market & Competitor Insights
Monitor industry trends and competitor advertising activity to inform campaign strategies.
Support research initiatives that identify new opportunities or flag changes in the competitive landscape.
Channel Expansion & Experimentation
Partner with the digital team to evaluate and test emerging paid media opportunities across platforms like Meta, programmatic, or affiliate.
Contribute ideas and support the execution of A/B tests or pilot campaigns in new channels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with merchandising, creative, and analytics teams to align campaigns with product priorities and business goals.
Support the development of ad copy and product feed accuracy in partnership with internal stakeholders.
The Outcome We Are Seeking:
To succeed in this role, the Digital Marketing Associate should contribute to the execution and refinement of paid media strategies that support customer acquisition and revenue growth. They should develop a strong understanding of our products, target audiences, and performance benchmarks to improve campaign outcomes and the online shopping experience. This role is about learning, contributing, and supporting data-informed decisions that move the business forward.
Performance will be measured by key campaign metrics and contributions to overall marketing effectiveness, including:
Increased order volume and revenue from Shopping Ads.
Improved return on ad spend (ROAS) and cost-per-click (CPC) efficiency.
Consistent reporting accuracy and insights that support strategic decisions.
Successful testing and adoption of new paid media tactics.
Timely execution of optimizations and campaign tasks with minimal oversight.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search or Shopping Ads campaigns, preferably in an eCommerce or digital-first environment.
Familiarity with advertising platforms including Google Ads and Microsoft Ads; experience with product feed management is a plus.
Working knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker Studio, GA4) to track and report on campaign performance.
Comfort analyzing campaign data in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with basic formulas and pivot tables preferred.
Curiosity to explore new paid media channels and a growth mindset to expand beyond core Shopping Ads.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take initiative while learning from feedback.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams, including creative, merchandising, and analytics.
Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Why Choose Us?
Competitive salary and benefits designed to support your well-being.
A culture that’s always striving to learn, improve, and grow — together.
Opportunities for professional development, mentorship, and career growth.
True work-life balance: we believe great work happens when people have the space to recharge and take care of themselves outside of work.
Direct access to leadership and decision-makers — your ideas won't get lost in layers of bureaucracy.
A role where your work will make a real, measurable impact — improving the online shopping experience for customers and driving meaningful growth for the business.
A collaborative environment where everyone's voice matters and innovative thinking is encouraged.
Interview Process:
We take hiring seriously because every person we add must have a meaningful impact on our culture, our work, and our team. As a small and growing company, we are intentional about who we bring on board, and we don’t compromise on that standard for the sake of speed.
Our interview process includes the following steps:
Online application (Predictive Index behavioral and cognitive assessments)
Phone screen
Panel interview with Marketing team
Panel interview with Senior Leadership team
Final offer
As part of our hiring process, we ask candidates to complete Predictive Index (PI) behavioral and cognitive assessments. These tools help us better understand your natural work style, communication preferences, and problem-solving approaches. They’re not used to “pass” or “fail” candidates — rather, they give us a more complete picture of how you might fit within the team and where you can thrive. We believe great hiring is about more than just skills; it's about setting people up for success from day one.
Throughout the process, you’ll meet with several people from across the organization — including senior leadership, members of the Marketing department, and internal stakeholders who will be key partners in this role. We believe that great hiring is a two-way street, and our process is designed to give you a real feel for who we are and how we work.
We understand that this level of engagement won’t be the right fit for everyone, and that’s okay. Candidates who aren’t comfortable with any part of the process may find a better fit elsewhere, and we genuinely wish them the best. For those who are excited to engage fully, we’re just as excited to get to know you.
