Role description
Position: Digital Marketing Executive
Position Type: Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Reporting to: Digital Marketing Manager
Location: Office based at our Leeds HQ - LS14 1FB
Are you a high performing digital marketing professional looking for your next move? Do you have a passion for all things hair and beauty? Do you have a happy, positive outlook and would enjoy working in a busy, dynamic environment?
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join one of the most celebrated and successful names in the professional hair and beauty industry. Since 2006, Sweet Squared has been in an enviable leadership position through distributing exclusive, premium, and best-in-class brands like Kevin Murphy, CND Shellac and K18 to professionals across the UK and Ireland.
We're looking for a proactive and versatile Digital Marketing Executive to join the Sweet Squared inhouse marketing team, working across a portfolio of recognisable, premium brands in Hair and Beauty. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting digital campaigns across email, paid media, ecommerce platforms and Amazon.
This is a role designed to flex around your skills and passions, whilst gaining experience across all areas. If you’re strongest in Shopify, you’ll support more D2C ecommerce activity. If your background is in paid search or Amazon, you’ll be contributing to those areas of the business - while developing your skills across other areas too. You’ll be heavily involved in product launches and new brand launches, including the rollout of a major new brand. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who can take ownership of tasks and is eager to grow in a fast-paced, collaborative team.
Key responsibilities:
Support Digital Campaigns
Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to deliver digital activity and assets across email, paid media, Amazon, and ecommerce platforms. Help bring new products and brands to market with strong digital support.
Website and Ecommerce Management
Assist with updates to our B2B and D2C websites, including content changes, product listings, and campaign landing page creation. Support the ongoing optimisation of product listing pages, on-site search, and overall user experience to improve navigation, engagement, and conversion. Ensure all content is accurate, brand aligned, and performance focused.
Email Marketing
Optimise email marketing campaigns and workflows. Supporting with segmentation, automation, email acquisition, and performance reporting to drive customer engagement and conversion.
Paid Media Support
Contribute to the setup, optimisation, and analysis of paid campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, Meta, and Amazon. Work with the wider team to develop creative and data informed content. Striving to drive efficient campaigns across prospecting and remarketing.
Amazon
Help manage product content, promotional activity, and reporting within Amazon. Support key launches and seasonal activity on the platform.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
Use tools such as GA4, Klaviyo, and Hotjar to monitor and report on digital activity. Share insights and learnings to improve future performance.
Project Ownership Based on Strengths
Take ownership of specific tasks and projects within the digital mix based on your individual strengths.
What we’re looking for:
• 1-2 years of experience in a digital marketing role
• A strong passion for nails, hair, beauty, and the pro community
• Strong foundational knowledge of digital marketing channels including email, paid media, ecommerce, and marketplaces
• Hands-on experience with one or more platforms or channels such as BigCommerce, Shopify, Amazon, Google Ads, or Meta Ads
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms and a basic understanding of segmentation, automation, and performance metrics
• Confident using digital analytics tools such as GA4 to gather insights and guide improvements
• Comfortable working with product content, landing pages, and basic campaign setup across web and email
• A curious and data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret results and make informed recommendations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• A team player with excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills across digital channels and platforms
• Stays updated on the latest trends in digital marketing, social media, and industry best practices.
