Role description
We are currently recruiting for a dynamic, growing digital advertising and brand strategy agency in San Diego that focuses on providing digital advertising solutions and growth strategies for clients selling products on Amazon.
They are hiring for their Director of Advertising.
This role is a leadership position at the agency and is responsible for leading the strategic vision, execution, and performance of the organizationโs advertising initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and driving measurable results. This role oversees the entire Advertising department, including budget management, resource allocation, and the development of high-performing teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
โ Sets the strategic direction for the Advertising department, establishing KPIs, long-term goals, and innovative initiatives that align with organizational priorities.
โ Oversees department budget planning, forecasting, and resource allocation to maximize ROI.
โ Provides visionary leadership and mentorship to managers and team members, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and high-performance.
โ Direct the development, execution, and optimization of advertising campaigns, ensuring achievement of ROAS and other performance metrics for clients.
โ Analyzes and interprets campaign performance data to generate insights, identify opportunities, and refine strategies for continued growth.
โ Stays ahead of industry trends, market shifts, and emerging technologies to champion new Amazon advertising strategies.
โ Spearheads cross-functional initiatives to enhance Advertising processes and efficiency.
โ Selects, develops, motivates, and evaluates talent; provides constructive feedback, coaching, and performance management as needed.
โ Promotes continuous improvement, professional growth, and alignment with company values across the team.
โ Cultivates a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the Advertising team while incorporating the company's core values.
โ Ensure all departmental initiatives and deliverables meet or exceed established performance standards.
โ Other duties as may be assigned.
โ Bachelorโs degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
โ Minimum of 5+ years of senior-level advertising or marketing leadership experience with deep managerial expertise and a strong understanding of the overall departmental function.
โ Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and managing advertising operations at a strategic and enterprise level.
โ Demonstrated success in budgeting, resource allocation, and performance management, with the ability to make higher-risk decisions involving significant capital investments.
โ Advanced analytical abilities with a focus on profitability optimization, data-driven decision-making, and long-term strategic planning.
โ Skilled in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced use of Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis, performance tracking, and reporting.
โ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to navigate complex challenges and resolve issues effectively.
โ Strong ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, foster collaboration, and align diverse teams toward common goals.
โ Excellent organizational and project management skills; adept at prioritizing, delegating, and establishing clear goals for both self and team.
โ Ability to pivot quickly in response to changing business priorities, operating with a sense of urgency while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
