Role description
The Peace Center is a major nonprofit performing arts center serving a growing and sophisticated audience in Greenville, South Carolina. It is the dominant performing arts center in the State and region. Built on a six-acre campus with an aesthetic mix of new architecture and historic buildings, the campus is at the hub of Greenville's nationally recognized downtown.
The Peace Center venues include the 2,115-seat Peace Concert Hall, the 400-seat Gunter Theatre, the 1,400-capacity outdoor Peace Pavilion, Genevieve's Lounge, and the Huguenot Mill which includes two event spaces: the Ramsaur Studio and the Huguenot Loft. Opening in 2026 will be two additional music venues: the 250-seat Mockingbird (a listening room), and the 1,150 capacity Coach Factory (a flat floor club).
Position Overview
The Digital Marketing Manager, eCommerce is responsible for optimizing the Peace Center's digital platforms, including websites, WordPress portals, CRM, and mobile apps, to support the organization's expansion. This role combines technical expertise and analytical skills to enhance user experience, improve site performance, and drive engagement through SEO and data insights.
Managing web and email automation projects, the role ensures seamless integration of eCommerce and ticketing systems while collaborating with internal teams to optimize digital strategies. The manager tracks performance metrics, providing actionable insights for website functionality, business growth, and the overall digital experience.
Key Responsibilities
Website Development, Optimization & SEO Strategy
• Maintain and enhance websites, CMS portals, and mobile apps for performance, and user experience.
• Oversee eCommerce integration (Tessitura Network/T-NEW) for seamless, brand-aligned functionality.
• Collaborate with external tech partners to implement and track digital marketing initiatives.
• Manage high-traffic events using solutions like Queue IT to ensure site stability.
• Serve as primary contact for technical issues and digital troubleshooting.
• Lead SEO efforts through optimized design, metadata, keywords, and content strategy.
• Ensure consistent brand messaging and engaging user experiences across digital platforms.
Analytics & Reporting
• Utilize and update analytics tools, including Google Analytics and Google Search Console, to track, analyze, and report on key metrics such as website traffic, user behavior, and conversion performance.
• Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to drive website optimization, digital marketing effectiveness, and business growth using SQL to extract data from relational databases.
• Provide training and support to internal teams, empowering them to leverage digital tools, A/B testing and analytics insights to inform decision-making and optimize performance.
• Write, maintain and debug scripts for data extraction, transformation, and automation using Python, SQL, or other programming languages and document processes.
• Build and maintain API integrations between ecommerce platforms and data analysis tools.
• Work across functional areas to strive for and ensure consistent data quality, monitoring Ecommerce data consistency and integrity across the business
Email & CRM
• Manage the strategy, development, and execution of all email campaigns to align with organizational goals.
• Design and implement automated customer journeys to nurture leads and drive conversions.
• Leverage marketing automation, audience segmentation, and A/B testing to optimize campaign performance and engagement.
• Use behavioral data to deliver personalized messaging, targeted content, product recommendations, and remarketing.
• Oversee database hygiene while implementing audience growth strategies and advanced segmentation to expand reach.
• Monitor email deliverability and compliance with best practices and regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
• Analyze campaign performance metrics to identify trends, enhance engagement, and inform future marketing efforts.
