The role:
Digital Marketing Manager – website experience, will play a key role in the successful launch and optimisation of RIBA’s three new digital platforms. Acting as a bridge between marketing, content, and technology, you'll help ensure the new websites deliver outstanding user experiences, align with strategic goals, and launch on schedule.
Working closely with the digital project team, marketing, content, and product colleagues, as well as a digital marketing agency and web developer, you’ll provide expertise and support across all three project phases: pre-launch, launch, and post-launch.
You’ll ensure the websites take full advantage of the new CMS functionality, deliver intuitive user journeys that drive goal completions, and feature optimised, engaging content – including developing a strategy for gated content.
You’ll work closely with our digital marketing agency to review and implement SEO/SEM recommendations and oversee the set-up of Google Analytics for insights and reporting.
You’ll also define opportunities and requirements to capture data from user registrations and define new processes for managing and retrieving data from our CRM.
Key facts:
• Contract: 9-month fixed-term contract (PAYE), full-time Salary: £60,000 (FTE) + benefits Location: Hybrid – mostly, home-based blended with working from offices in central London (1-2 days a week) Start date: 8th September 2025 Must be available for interview on either: 21st August, morning of 27th August, or 29th August - conducted online, via Teams.
Candidate’s profile:
• Significant hands-on experience in digital marketing strategy and delivery, with a strong emphasis on website launches and optimisation.
• Proven experience across a range of digital channels, including Email marketing, social media (paid and organic), Digital advertising, Pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns.
• Professional understanding and practical experience with the Google Analytics suite for analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrable experience in SEO/SEM strategy and implementation, driving organic and paid search performance.
• Strong background in content marketing strategy and campaigns, understanding how to create and leverage compelling content.
• Significant project management experience specifically related to website development and marketing initiatives, with a proven ability to deliver complex projects on time.
• Experience in data strategy, including working with CRM systems and email platforms to leverage user data for marketing insights and execution.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and strict deadlines.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams (Marketing, Content, Product, Digital Project Team) and external partners (digital marketing agency, web developers).
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, confidently, and with conviction, both in written and verbal formats, to a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills, ensuring all communications are compelling, accurate, and on-brand.
• Proven experience in brand guardianship and management, ensuring all digital activities align with brand guidelines and values.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to make appropriate and timely decisions, balancing organisational needs with potential risks.
