The Merchandising Manager is an exciting role within the eCommerce team, responsible for leading a team focused on the optimisation and management of the product merchandising, taxonomy, product reviews and search functionality across boots.com/ie. We are looking for candidates that have a strong background in team leadership and management and preferably, have some knowledge in eCommerce and/or digital merchandising.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a team of 10 individuals, by supporting them daily to ensure that everyone is working to a high standard - plus, ensuring their ongoing development.
• Ensuring that all main business asks from a Merchandising perspective are completed on time, to a high standard and are analysed to help drive continuous improvement.
• Championing the Merchandising systems and tools, constantly driving for better ways for the Merchandising team to optimise the site with the customer/insights at the heart of all decisions.
• Analyse and monitor performance across our PLP's, SLP's, Attributes and Product Recommendations and share insights with the team and wider partners to help drive improvement and optimisation - to allow us to become experts in the optimisations which drive the best results for boots.com/ie.
• Supporting with identifying and escalating anomalies across the boots.com/ie sites and supporting with the resolution.
• Collaborating with partners across eCommerce to ensure that key campaigns such as, NPD launches, Christmas, Black Friday, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day etc. are implemented and optimised from a Merchandising perspective.
• Working in conjunction with the A/B Testing team to ensure that we are constantly striving for new developments to help us make better experiences for the customer and to hit our targets.
• Collaborate with our SEO team.
• Constantly driving for continuous improvement from a Merchandising perspective to support the wider eCommerce budget targets.
What you'll need to have
• You should have a background in team leadership and management - you will lead a team of 10 individuals. We want someone who can inspire and support their team members.
• Set high standards for themselves and for their team.
• Cross functional working, focusing on brilliant delivery and relationship building are key as you will be working with a broad set of partners.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure delivery on time of consecutive or overlapping activities.
• Comfortable gathering, using and presenting data to draw insight and to identify opportunities/weaknesses to improve our conversion and engagement across the site. Experience in Content Square or similar reporting systems is preferred.
• A confident individual who can effectively and efficiently share plans and updates to the business, willing to challenge and comfortable speaking to large groups of people.
• Our ideal candidate should have a natural customer first mentality to problem solving and will have a strong understanding of the customer lifecycle.
• Able to deal effectively with working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• System knowledge in CMS systems such as Management Centre, Amplience, Salesforce and knowledge of attributes, search, product reviews and product recommendation functionality would be preferred but not required.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This role can require working outside normal offices hours.
