Your role We’re looking for someone to manage our established technical team. The Digital Platform Manager will take responsibility for all aspects of the technology platforms within the organisation. They will also develop and maintain existing technology provider and third-party relationships, to enable the company to gain competitive advantage through the appropriate use of technology. Job Title Digital Platform Manager (interim, 6 months) Reports to Managing Director Responsible for: • The Platform Team (7 people) Works with • Leadership Team • Heads of Marketing • Membership & Owners Teams • Guest Experience Teams • External partners Main tasks and responsibilities People Management: • Reliable leadership for a self-organising team. • A reassuring and trustworthy presence, calm under pressure. • Keep the team aligned, productive and positive. Delivery Management: • Carry out an existing plan: Our development backlog and roadmap will be in place. • Continue the delivery of BAU work, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. Issue Escalation & Prioritisation: • Triage and prioritise issues with internal stakeholders. • Ensure clear requirements are fed into sprints or maintenance workflows. 1. Internal Stakeholder and External Vendor Communication: • Be the liaison between internal teams (e.g. Leadership, Marketing and other in-house staff) and the development team • Manage relationships with external partners (third party developers and service providers, e.g. IT). Skills and experience Necessary • Hands on experience of delivering complex digital platform projects • Experience in hiring and managing technical teams • Excellent project management experience and skills (including Agile) • Hands-on experience with high volume, mission-critical systems • Great communication at all levels, with the ability to work through ambiguity and to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders • An understanding of change management and experience of business transformation Desirable • Ideally a travel or booking/ecommerce related background Our Behaviours and Values How we work is just as important as the success we achieve at Sawday’s.
