The Digital Program Manager will lead the delivery of critical initiatives β advanced digital solutions & products designed to improve customer and consumer experiences with Delta.
In partnership with our business stakeholders, this IT role will assume end-to-end ownership of multiple simultaneous projects across our entire digital portfolio of brands and products. This role is intended to serve the digital domain; the digital portfolio includes all websites & ecommerce, sales, customer service and marketing related technologies and development and supporting systems of records and integrations.
The program managerβs role is to coordinate and manage the planning, scheduling and tracking of IS programs and projects that make up the IS project portfolio. This includes the development and management of project timelines, budget, key deliverables, resource and capacity planning, partner communications and the coordination of related internal and external (vendor) resources. The Digital Program Manager reports to the IS PMO Director.
Responsibilities
β’ Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the PMO and the IT Governance function
β’ Ability to complete project planning duties for sophisticated projects regardless of the toolset being used for the specific initiative
β’ Proactively lead changes in scope, schedule, resources and budget for all portfolio projects and enhancements
β’ Identify any issues/risks to portfolio/program/project success and develop mitigation plans to lead them throughout the project life cycle
β’ Mentor and coach IS managers with the creation and maintenance of smaller projects and the completion of related artifacts in the project portfolio
β’ Build project status reports and steering team presentations that convey project status, milestone achievement, risks, issues and key next steps
β’ Engage with partners to ensure there is a clear understanding and alignment of the long-term vision in order to maintain an updated roadmap as initiatives are delivered
β’ Monitor the availability of internal and external (vendor) resources to complete projects
β’ Forecast future vendor needs based on the IS Portfolio Plan and work with the IS Vendor Managers to ensure vendor resources are procured timely to meet project timelines
β’ Assist in the development of IS Portfolio updates and related Key Performance Indicators
β’ Evaluate and refine project management processes as appropriate and provide training to partners
β’ Incorporate, where applicable, organization organizational change activities in service of implementations
β’ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
β’ Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.
β’ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required
β’ 5+ years of prior project management experience in the digital domain required.
β’ Possesses high level understanding in the areas of web application development, content management systems, API, database and system design.
β’ Salesforce project implementation history is required.
β’ Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and project management scheduling tools is essential including; MS Project, MS Planner, Jira, and Smartsheet.
β’ Ability to accurately develop and lead multiple sophisticated project timelines concurrently is also crucial.
β’ Outstanding written and oral communication skills and the ability to lead multiple, conflicting priorities.
β’ Must have a strong desire to get tasks accomplished and desire to function as part of a team.
β’ Must possess highly developed facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills with validated results.
