Role description
About the Role The Digital Sales Intelligence Analyst will play a key role in unlocking insights from JLab’s fastest-growing digital sales and marketing channels. This role is all about transforming raw digital data into business intelligence that fuels growth. You’ll work hands-on with marketplace analytics, campaign performance data, customer behavior trends, and social commerce insights. You’ll work with datasets from Amazon, TikTok Shop, Shopify, and other Martech platforms, to identify trends, build dashboards, and inform strategy. This is a fast-paced, high-growth environment where no two days look the same. The ideal candidate is comfortable jumping between Amazon reporting, TikTok Shop affiliate performance, Shopify DTC analytics, and Martech dashboards, while translating complex data into insights that drive measurable business impact. Key Responsibilities β€’ Data Collection & Integration: Pull and organize data from Amazon (Brand Analytics, AMC, DSP, Seller Central), TikTok (Shop, affiliate data, paid metrics), Shopify, GA4, PostHog, and CRM systems. Use SQL, BI tools, and ETL/ATL workflows to ensure data is structured and reliable. β€’ Performance Monitoring: Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs including sales trends, conversion paths, creator ROI, campaign performance, and multi-channel attribution. β€’ Insight Generation: Identify opportunities and risks by analyzing customer behavior, marketplace performance, and marketing effectiveness. Provide recommendations to optimize pricing, promotions, media spend, and affiliate programs. β€’ Reporting & Visualization: Present insights clearly through dashboards and visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, etc) that drive decisions across eCommerce, marketing, and leadership teams. β€’ Problem Solving: Proactively surface anomalies or performance gaps (e.g., conversion drops, ROAS declines, campaign underperformance) and recommend data-backed solutions. Expectations for Success β€’ Deliver clear, concise insights quickly to answer business questions. β€’ Communicate findings in a story-driven, non-technical way to cross-functional teams. β€’ Prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple data requests simultaneously. β€’ Act as a trusted partner for Amazon, TikTok, and DTC data questions, providing timely analysis to support decision-making. Skills & Qualifications β€’ SQL (writing complex queries, joins, aggregations, window functions). β€’ Excel/Google Sheets (advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data modeling). β€’ Power BI and/or Tableau (dashboard building, DAX/calculated fields, drill-downs). β€’ GA4 and PostHog (event tracking, funnel analysis, retention analysis). β€’ Familiarity with ETL/ATL tools (Fivetran, dbt, Stitch, or similar). β€’ Experience analyzing data from Amazon (Brand Analytics, AMC, DSP, Seller/Vendor Central) and TikTok Shop (affiliate GMV, creator ROI, paid campaign data). β€’ Strong understanding of Shopify analytics and DTC funnel reporting. β€’ Ability to query, clean, and combine messy multi-source datasets into a unified reporting view. β€’ Excellent communication skills to turn analysis into business-ready insights. β€’ Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume eCommerce environment. Preferred Background β€’ 2–4 years in hands-on analytics roles within an eCommerce, retail media, or digital marketing environment. β€’ Demonstrated ability to apply advanced analytical techniques (e.g., cohort analysis, funnel analysis, attribution modeling, forecasting, A/B testing). β€’ Proven track record of building BI dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) that serve multiple business functions. β€’ Familiarity with ETL/ATL workflows and modern data pipelines β€’ Proven experience writing advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
