Digital Social Designer £35-39k Oxfordshire 4 days onsite 1 WFH This highly regarded retailer has a wonderful heritage both in the UK, but now also abroad. They are looking for a Digital Social Designer to join their team on a permanent basis, working alongside the Digital, marketing and creative teams. The role has a social focus, whereby this digital designer will be creating high-performing, visually impactful assets for digital advertising, email, organic social, paid media, and e-commerce, designing with a mobile-first mindset. This company work a hybrid policy of onsite 4 days a week and 1 day WFH with flexibility on start and finish times. Salary range for this role is £35-39k. About the Company Having a strong heritage and high street presence for many years, this renowned company now also sell their products online in America and the Far East and are both consumer focused, but also sell B2B, so they have several websites, although this role is creating across all digital touchpoints, but focused on social platforms. The brand are just in the process of going through an exciting new brand re-development and there is a new look and feel being implemented and their new look is very aspirational and lifestyle driven and it is a great time to join them with they go through this creative evolution of their brand. They are based in the Oxfordshire countryside (not in the Oxford city centre), but South West Oxfordshire, commutable from Oxford, Cheltenham, Buckingham, Swindon, Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard, Bicester and Banbury. About the role; Working closely with key stakeholders around the business and also dealing directly with some of their creative agencies, you will produce visually impactful assets that they will use in their digital advertising, email, organic social, paid media and e-commerce. You will design with a mobile-first mindset, incorporating motion and interactivity where relevant, being innovative in your approach whilst ensuring brand consistency and attention to detail. Working within their brand guidelines, but always striving to look at trends and proactively look at ways to improve both the creative look and feel of the website and various pages as well as creating digital assets across integrated campaigns, social, email and branding. You will confidently shift across formats and platforms—from animated social ads to landing pages as well as helping where needed on other general design tasks or amends. Working closely with the Design Manager, you will contribute to visual ideation for digital-first campaigns, bringing trend-aware, fresh thinking to concept development and execution and also collaborate with their content and social team leads to translate storytelling into compelling visual assets. You are strong on digital production of assets, preparing artwork for final use: pixel-perfect files for digital or print, export to spec, and package correctly. Maintaining strong file hygiene and manage work within digital asset systems. This role demands strong visual skills, rapid execution, and the agility to thrive in fast-paced, always-on digital environments. About you; You are an experienced digital designer with a strong background in creating social assets. You approach work with positivity and focus and are able to prioritise your own work, with the ability to work independently but also within a team. You are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and motion tools such as After Effects and Premier Pro, understanding best practices for responsive and social-first design. You can efficiently switches between fast-turnaround tasks and long-form campaign development. You are comfortable designing across varied platforms, from Instagram Reels to paid display ads, packaging files and landing pages with pixel perfect accuracy. You enjoy looking at trends within social media and you enjoy pushing boundaries and exploring new formats, ideas, and styles to ensure relevance and originality. You perhaps have some experience of designing for luxury brands and can work in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy collaborating with fellow creatives as well as working closely with marketing teams, helping to ensure that consistency is maintained across all platforms and share campaign updates. You have strong communication skills and are confident in speaking to senior stakeholders You have a portfolio that showcases your skills and experience within digital social design, both moving and static. Whilst this is a digitally focused role, you will need to be adaptable to be able to cover all generalist designer requirements as appropriate, including artwork.
