Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially driven, data-led Digital Trading Lead to own the strategy and performance of our UK and International digital channels. You'll be accountable for short-term trading results and long-term growth, leading a high-performing team to optimise customer experience and commercial outcomes. This is a fast-paced, hands-on leadership role ideal for someone passionate about digital commerce and team development.
Strategic Leadership & Growth Planning
β’ Develop and execute a digital trading strategy to deliver future business growth across UK, International across all digital trading channels.
β’ Translate business priorities into clear roadmaps and trading initiatives, balancing short-term performance and long-term opportunity.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders across Marketing, Commercial and Tech align and deliver against customer & commercial KPIs
Commercial Trading & Site Ownership
β’ Channel ownership for online, responsible for the website trading strategy and performance
β’ Lead trading calendar and promotional planning in collaboration with commercial, marketing & CRM
β’ Analyse and optimise performance across key KPIs: sales, conversion, ATV, transactions, bounce, abandonment, by marketing channel and customer segment.
β’ Lead International trading strategy on key focus markets
β’ Lead peak planning for online, ensuring all stakeholders have clear understand of forecasts, activity and contingency levers.
β’ Partner with Tech team to improve the end-to-end customer journey across devices and channels through customer lead insights to optimise and enhance the website.
β’ Ownership of 3rd party relationships including Global-E, Bazaarvoice, Pure Content.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
β’ Deliver concise, actionable performance reporting across commercial, web, and customer KPIs
β’ Partner with the Web Analytics and Insights Specialist to deliver actionable insights and translate data into strategy.
β’ Present trading performance updates, risks and opportunities to stakeholders.
Leadership & Team Management
β’ Lead and develop a growing digital trading team with a culture of ownership & performance
β’ Develop an analytically capable and customer-first thinking team who are always looking to identify opportunities for improvement.
β’ Support the recruitment, onboarding and development of new team members as the digital trading function expands
Skills & Experience Required
β’ Proven experience in a senior digital trading, eCommerce or online merchandising role
β’ Strong commercial and analytical mindset with a deep understanding of digital KPIs.
β’ Skilled in tools such as Salesforce, Qliksense, Contentsquare or similar.
β’ Proven team leadership and stakeholder management across Tech, Marketing, Commercial and Finance.
β’ Proven team leadership and stakeholder management across Commercial, Marketing, Tech, CRM and Finance as well as the Senior Leadership Team.
β’ Strong planning, communication and adaptability in a fast-paced trading environment.
