Job Title: Director of Brand Marketing Location: Boulder, CO or Bradenton / Tampa Bay Area FL Reports to: COO Type: Full-Time We are seeking a Director of Brand Marketing to lead the development and execution of our brand strategy, ensuring our story, values, and positioning are consistently reflected across all customer touchpoints. This is a strategic leadership role for someone who understands how to build a powerful brand, select the right marketing tactics, and measure effectiveness — all while overseeing execution through internal teams or external agencies. You will define how our brand shows up in the world, create integrated campaigns that deepen customer connection, and drive long-term growth through brand equity. You must be fluent in how brand drives performance, and how to measure brand-building efforts. Key Responsibilities • Develop and lead brand strategy, including positioning, messaging architecture, and customer segmentation • Translate brand strategy into annual and quarterly marketing plans, selecting the right mix of channels and tactics (content, PR, events, social, etc.) to achieve business goals • Oversee campaign development and execution, partnering with internal teams and external agencies for creative, media, and PR as needed • Evaluate and optimize marketing effectiveness using brand health metrics (e.g., awareness, consideration, NPS) and campaign KPIs • Ensure brand consistency and excellence across all marketing, including website, packaging, email, retail, and customer experience • Lead cross-functional alignment on brand initiatives with product, e-commerce, and customer service teams • Stay informed on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to ensure strategic agility • Build and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation toward high-impact activities Qualifications • 7+ years of experience in brand marketing, brand strategy, or integrated marketing, ideally with DTC, CPG, or consumer wellness brands • Proven track record of building and executing brand strategies that drive growth and customer engagement • Experience managing external agencies (creative, PR, media) and/or in-house teams to deliver high-quality work • Strong analytical skills — able to interpret marketing performance data and tie it back to brand goals • Clear communicator and cross-functional leader; able to inspire teams and drive alignment • Comfortable operating at both strategic and executional levels • Passion for mission-driven or sustainability-focused brands a plus Who You’ll Work With • Founders and Executive Leadership to shape brand strategy and ensure alignment with overall business goals • E-commerce, Product, and Customer Response teams to ensure brand consistency across the customer journey • External agencies and freelancers (creative, PR, media, content) to bring campaigns to life • Analytics and Operations to evaluate campaign performance and brand health metrics • Supply Chain and Packaging teams for product launches and brand-aligned unboxing experiences Key Skills & Attributes • Strategic thinker with strong executional follow-through • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide both internal teams and external partners • Clear communicator, able to present brand vision and marketing plans with confidence • Collaborative mindset — works well across departments and with stakeholders at all levels • Detail-oriented, with high standards for creative output and brand consistency • Analytically grounded, but creatively driven — balances instinct with data • Adaptable and proactive, able to pivot and adjust plans in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment • Relevant industry experience (e.g. DTC, e-commerce, health & wellness) is a strong plus Compensation: 120-150k/yr
