Role description
Ecommerce Director, you will be the driving force behind our online growth, responsible for setting the strategic direction and leading the execution of all e-commerce initiatives. You'll build and lead a high-performing team, optimize our online presence, and drive significant revenue growth. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and exceptional leadership skills. Key Responsibilities: • Strategic E-Commerce Leadership: • Develop and execute a comprehensive e-commerce strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives. • Lead the development and implementation of a robust direct-to-consumer (DTC) strategy, enhancing brand presence and customer engagement. • Identify and evaluate new e-commerce opportunities, including emerging platforms and technologies. • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across all e-commerce channels. • Marketplace & DTC Growth: • Oversee the strategic management and optimization of our presence on major marketplaces, including Amazon and Walmart. • Develop and implement strategies to drive significant sales growth and market share expansion. • Lead the development of a strong brand presence and customer loyalty through effective DTC initiatives. • Team Leadership & Development: • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing e-commerce team. • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and data-driven decision-making. • Provide strategic guidance and support to team members, ensuring alignment with company goals. • Performance Analysis & Optimization: • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track e-commerce performance and identify areas for improvement. • Utilize advanced analytics to gain insights into customer behavior, market trends, and campaign effectiveness. • Lead the development of data-driven strategies to optimize performance and maximize ROI. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Collaborate with marketing, sales, operations, and product development teams to ensure seamless execution of e-commerce initiatives. • Drive alignment across all departments to optimize the customer experience and achieve business goals. • Manage budgets and forecasting for the e-commerce department. • Technology & Innovation: • Evaluate and implement new e-commerce technologies and platforms to enhance the customer experience and drive efficiency. • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies. Qualifications: • Proven track record of success in a senior e-commerce leadership role. • Extensive experience in developing and executing comprehensive e-commerce strategies. • Deep understanding of marketplace dynamics, particularly Amazon and Walmart. • Strong experience in developing and growing a DTC business. • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach. • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Experience managing large budgets and forecasting. • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
