Ecommerce Director – Manufacturer & Distribution Company - £80-105k – Hybrid (3-4 days, Worcestershire)
We are recruiting a Managing Director (eCommerce Director) for a well-established company in the manufacturing and distribution sector, now expanding into the retail and eCommerce space. The Managing Director will oversee their entire ecommerce operations across multiple branded websites and online marketplaces.
This is a full-time, permanent role based 3-4 days per week in their Worcestershire office. This role reports into the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and optimise multiple branded ecommerce websites, including integrations with online marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, Tesco, and more
• Manage product listings, pricing strategies, inventory, and promotional
• Develop and execute a comprehensive digital commerce strategy aligned with company goals
• Set and achieve ambitious revenue targets and growth plans for ecommerce websites and marketplace channels
• Identify new sales channels, partnerships, and marketplace opportunities to diversify revenue streams
• campaigns across all platforms
• Direct and optimise digital marketing efforts, including SEO, PPC, email, social media, and retargeting
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in marketing, sales, web development, operations, and customer service
• Manage ecommerce budgets, pricing policies, and vendor relationships
Required Experience:
• Proven senior leadership experience managing ecommerce businesses with multiple websites and marketplace channels
• Strong knowledge of ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento) and marketplace dynamics
• Experience in digital marketing strategy (SEO, SEM, paid media, customer acquisition)
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with a strong focus on ROI
