You Will Be
The Director of Fulfillment Operations is a senior leadership role in the Supply Chain and Distribution organization at Saks Global. Reporting to the AVP of Network Transformation, this role is responsible for setting high standards and goals for one of Saks Global’s distribution centers and ensuring that these standards and goals are achieved. This role collaborates with fulfillment technology, inventory planning, merchandising, order management and other internal & external stakeholders.
What You Will Do
• Oversee all activities at the distribution center, including: production efficiency, operational safety, inventory, and shipping/receiving functions to meet customers’ needs.
• Manage budget and controls expenses to ensure the organization’s financial benchmarks are met.
• Manage all labor plans including short term, mid-term plans, including bottoms up department plans and overall FC labor solver.
• Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives
• Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals
• Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
• Creates an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ensures the distribution center adheres to company policies and administers practices in a fair and equitable manner.
• Driving employees and leading performance reviews, 360 feedback, all hands, all manager meetings, to ensure an engaged and skilled workforce.
• Be an ambassador for Saks leadership fundamentals
What You Will Bring
• 5+ years’ direct management experience leading a retail distribution and/or eCommerce fulfillment operation, ideally comprising at least 1000 combined salaried and hourly team members
• Ability to effectively lead within all areas of the ecommerce fulfillment operation
• Ability to manage a team of 6-8 direct reports
• Ability to lead and execute through Lean/Six Sigma, while continually driving improvement initiatives in a plant or distribution environment.
• Demonstrated experience building a safety-first culture
• Proven track record for employee engagement and overall worker satisfaction
• Ability to budget and manage VCPU
• A strong analytical approach to problem-solving with data-driven decision making.
• Ability to demonstrably overcome adversity; drives change by influencing others in order to achieve results.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems including robotics, high-speed conveyor systems, and other highly automated equipment.
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours as the business demands; including overnight, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels of management and staff

Salary And Other Benefits
The salary range for this position is $118,000 to $153,000 per year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
