Role description
We’re looking for a hands-on, data-obsessed Director of Growth who lives and breathes paid social, performance marketing, and creative testing. The right person is part growth hacker, part creative strategist—someone who understands that breakthrough creative wins campaigns and thrives on testing, iterating, and scaling what works.
You’ll own our paid acquisition strategy across Meta, Google, TikTok, and other high-impact channels, running profitable, LTV-driven growth campaigns. This is a tactical, in-platform role where you’ll be launching, optimizing, and analyzing daily—all while collaborating closely with our creative team to produce thumb-stopping ad concepts that convert.
If you geek out over creative hooks, winning angles, and data-driven insights—and you’re excited to scale a fast-growing CPG brand—this is for you.
This is a contractor role and will partner with our Marketing department head.
What You’ll Do
• Own and scale paid acquisition across Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, Amazon, and more.
• Develop and test creative strategies—turn insights into high-performing ad concepts that drive revenue.
• Run in-platform campaigns daily, optimizing for CAC, ROAS, and LTV.
• Build and manage a constant pipeline of new ads, hooks, and angles; partner with creative teams to brief and test.
• A/B and multivariate test everything—copy, visuals, offers, audiences, and landing pages.
• Monitor and report on performance with clear, actionable insights.
• Stay ahead of trends—test emerging platforms and creative formats to keep us competitive.
What Makes You Great at This Role
• 5+ years of performance marketing experience, ideally in DTC, CPG, or eCommerce.
• Creative-first mindset: you know great paid ads are built on great storytelling, hooks, and visuals.
• Proven track record of profitably scaling paid media (6- to 7-figure monthly budgets).
• Expert in Meta Ads & Google Ads; strong experience with TikTok and/or UGC whitelisting is a plus.
• Deep understanding of attribution, CAC/LTV, and conversion funnels.
• Analytical but scrappy—you love testing, learning, and iterating fast.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, experiment-driven environment.
Role Benefits (Full Time Only)
At Plant People, we value our employees’ well being. As a growing business still in its early stages, we aim to provide perks and benefits where we can. Some of these include but are not limited to:
• competitive, flexible vacation and PTO policy
• competitive compensation package (salary and stock)
• company sponsored health care plan (medical, dental and vision plans)
• wellness reimbursement program (gym, mediation, groceries, etc.)
• competitive maternity and paternity leave plans
• companywide lunch and learns with external industry leaders
• vacation day expansion for long term employees
• companywide quarterly mental health days off
• additional vacation sabbatical for long term employees
• annual team retreat
• discounted and free product for yourself and friends
• team events, lunches and drinks
• team 401k program (in progress)
• opportunity to save the world through the power of plants
