Role description
Position Summary
The Director of Pricing will lead the global pricing function at iHerb, responsible for building and optimizing pricing strategies that drive profitable growth, customer acquisition, and competitive advantage. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical horsepower and proven execution skills. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally across Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Data Science, and Tech to define and scale pricing systems, rules, and performance measurement frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development
• Own and refine iHerb’s global pricing strategy across categories, regions, and customer segments.
• Define pricing principles and frameworks that balance competitiveness, margin, and brand positioning.
• Partner with Merchandising and Executive teams to align pricing strategy with overall business goals.
Analytics & Optimization
• Build and lead pricing analytics capabilities, including elasticity modeling, competitive benchmarking, and A/B testing frameworks.
• Leverage data science and machine learning to drive intelligent pricing decisions at scale.
• Drive insights on price perception, customer behavior, and promotional impact to inform ongoing pricing actions.
Execution & Governance
• Establish and enforce pricing guardrails, workflows, and escalation procedures to ensure consistent execution.
• Oversee global pricing operations, including catalog maintenance, algorithmic pricing inputs, and systems enhancements.
• Manage tooling, dashboards, and automation initiatives in partnership with Product and Engineering teams.
Leadership & Team Development
• Build and lead a high-performing pricing team, including pricing analysts and data specialists.
• Serve as the organizational thought leader on pricing, educating and influencing cross-functional partners and executives.
• Act as a strategic advisor for C-level leadership on pricing decisions and opportunities.
Equipment Knowledge
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred
Experience Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in pricing, analytics, strategy, or related fields, ideally in e-commerce, retail, or CPG.
• 5+ years in a leadership role managing pricing or revenue management teams.
• Deep understanding of pricing methodologies, including dynamic pricing, elasticity modeling, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
• Strong proficiency with analytical tools (SQL, Excel, Python/R) and pricing software.
• Experience working closely with product, data science, and engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and executive-level storytelling skills.
• Experience in subscription models, loyalty pricing, or tiered discount structures
• Experience with international pricing and cross-border e-commerce a bonus
Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance preferred or a combination of direct experience and/or education is required.

The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc. iHerb, LLC is a multi-state employer and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.
