PURPOSE The Account Manager is responsible for driving strategic growth and managing key customer relationships across E-commerce accounts (excluding Amazon). This role plays a critical part in expanding MegaFood’s presence within the supplement category by developing and executing joint business plans, optimizing promotional performance, and ensuring alignment with brand objectives and customer strategies. With a deep understanding of retail dynamics and a commitment to MegaFood’s mission-driven approach, the Account Manager acts as a collaborative partner both internally and externally to deliver sustainable, profitable growth. Essential Function & Responsibilities • Own and manage the customer relationship for E-commerce accounts (Thrive, Grove Collaborative, Swanson, etc.). • • Develop and execute annual joint business plans aligned with customer goals and MegaFood’s growth strategy, including distribution, merchandising, and promotional initiatives. • Lead annual and promotional planning, including forecasting, trade spend management, and post-event analysis to optimize ROI and drive profitable growth. • Partner cross-functionally with Customer Strategy, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure flawless execution in-store. • Monitor and analyze business performance using syndicated data (e.g., SPINS, IRI) and customer POS to identify risks, opportunities, and actionable insights. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of category trends, competitive activity, and retailer-specific strategies to inform customer plans and internal recommendations. • Represent MegaFood in customer meetings, line reviews, planning sessions, and key industry events, acting as a strong brand advocate and solutions-oriented partner. • Collaborate with internal finance and demand planning teams to ensure forecast accuracy and appropriate inventory levels to support account needs. • Track and manage trade spend within assigned budget and systems, ensuring proper deduction management and promotional compliance. Knowledge, Skills & Experience • Deep understanding of Ecommerce, with bonus points for experience in the supplement or wellness space. • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into compelling stories and business-driving insights. • Demonstrated expertise in customer planning, revenue growth management, and the 4Ps (Product, Price, Placement, Promotion). • Proficient in syndicated data tools (SPINS, Nielsen, IRI) and comfortable navigating category trends and performance metrics. • Skilled communicator and cross-functional influencer, able to align stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain. • Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution. • Adaptable, proactive, and energized by a purpose-driven, fast-paced environment where collaboration and curiosity are key. Education And Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required. • 5–7 years of progressive experience in CPG sales or account management, with at least 2–3 years e-commerce accounts. • Proven track record of building customer relationships, developing joint business plans, and delivering sales growth in a retail environment. • Experience managing trade spend, forecasting, and promotional planning using syndicated data and customer POS tools. • Familiarity with natural product industry trends, supplement category dynamics, and wellness-minded consumers is highly desirable. • Experienced in cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and New York metro the Target Base Pay Range is $112,000 - $151,000, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas. Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.
