Job Overview: Athena Ag is seeking a highly experienced E-Commerce Advertising Specialist to own and scale our paid media strategy on Amazon. This role will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing Amazon ad campaigns across Sponsored Ads and DSP, driving efficient customer acquisition, repeat purchases, and overall marketplace growth. This position reports to VP of Sales. Job Description and Responsibilities: The job duties include, but are not limited to: Advertising Strategy & Execution • Develop and manage Amazon Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP campaigns. • Implement keyword research, bid optimization, and audience targeting strategies to maximize ROAS and TACoS efficiency. • Build and execute full-funnel ad strategies from awareness to conversion to retention. Analytics & Optimization • Monitor campaign performance daily using Amazon Advertising Console, Brand Analytics, and advanced third-party tools (e.g., Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Pacvue, Perpetua). • Conduct ongoing A/B testing across ad creative, placements, targeting, and bidding strategies. • Provide weekly and monthly reports with actionable recommendations for leadership. Creative & Content Collaboration • Partner with creative teams to produce ad copy, visuals, and A+ content that enhance conversion rates. • Ensure PDPs and brand store content are optimized to align with advertising funnels. Marketplace Management • Collaborate with operations and sales to forecast demand and ensure ad spending aligns with inventory. • Lead initiatives to strengthen Buy Box ownership across priority ASINs. • Recommend Amazon-exclusive bundles, SKUs, and promotions that complement ad strategy KPIs & Success Metrics • Growth in monthly Amazon revenue. • TACoS and ACOS are maintained within target thresholds. • Buy Box win rate improvement across top ASINs. • Repeat purchase lift through Subscribe & Save and retention campaigns. • AOV increase via bundles and attach strategy. Required Skills: • Industry background in agriculture, garden centers, fertilizers, or related consumer product categories. • Familiarity with regulated categories or products requiring compliance-sensitive marketing. • Broader e-commerce paid media experience (Google, Meta, TikTok) for cross-channel integration. Qualifications: • 5+ years of proven experience managing Amazon Ads at scale, with hands-on ownership of Sponsored Ads and DSP. • Demonstrated success scaling a brand from mid-six to seven figures in monthly Amazon revenue. • Expertise in TACoS/ACOS management, campaign structuring, and attribution modeling. • Strong analytical skills, with advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency. • Deep experience with subscription/retention levers (e.g., Subscribe & Save, repurchase campaigns). • Knowledge of channel control, MAP enforcement, and Brand Registry strategy. Work Environment: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Ability to perform physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, repetitive motions, climbing stairs/ladders, and carrying boxes. • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
