Role
The Director of E-commerce will lead all technical e-commerce operations, including tracking validation, event quality assurance, feed management, and server-side tracking implementations. This individual will serve as the bridge between Paid Media teams, client e-commerce platforms, and technical vendors—ensuring tracking integrity, clean reporting, and scalable e-commerce performance.
The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in ad tech (Meta, Google Ads, GTM, GMMC), server-side tracking tools (Elevar, Signal Engineering), and feed management platforms (Feedonomics, DataFeedWatch). Experience with Shopify Plus troubleshooting and deep familiarity with e-commerce event tracking are essential. Candidates with both agency and brand-side experience will excel in this role.
Your Role Within The D.Luxury Team
Ad Operations & Tracking
• Own technical ad operations across Meta, Google Ads, and other platforms
• Validate and troubleshoot tracking events for accuracy and completeness
• Manage Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Merchant Center (GMC/GMMC) configurations
Server-Side & Signal Tracking
• Lead server-side tracking implementations (e.g., Elevar, signal engineering)
• Ensure maximum data purity to improve reporting, attribution, and performance analysis
• Partner with Paid Media team to optimize tracking strategies for growth outcomes
Feed Management & E-commerce Integrations
• Manage product feed strategy, optimizations, and troubleshooting via vendors like Feedonomics or DataFeedWatch
• Oversee integrations with Shopify Plus and resolve technical e-commerce issues
• Maintain feed accuracy and compliance with Google Merchant Center and Meta Commerce
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Partner with Paid Media strategists to ensure seamless tracking setups for campaigns
• Work with client e-commerce teams to resolve tracking and platform issues quickly
• Build and document best practices for e-commerce tracking, feeds, and measurement
E-commerce Best Practices
• Hands on experience and strategic knowledge around conversion rate optimization and SEO best practices for e-commerce websites.
• Experience conducting technical Shopify App audits and make targeted recommendations based on client needs and business model (subscriptions, etc)
• Finding testing and building tech partner relationships to enhance portfolio of brands website, CX and customer experience.
Qualifications
