Role description
OverviewWe are seeking a self-motivated individual to assist with overall online marketplace management.
Some experience creating listings on eBay, Shopify, Walmart, Amazon.Walmart and Amazon experience not necessary, however a general understanding of basic item properties is important.
General basic listing photography for ebay will be a requirement of the role.
Duties
Photograph and list items on ebay for resell--mostly not-new customer returns.
Manage products and inventory for ebay store ensuring inventory is organized and ready for shipment upon sale.
Assist with cross listing of products on Amazon, Ebay, Walmart, and Shopify.
Research new products from wholesale suppliers; add in to the supply chain workflow.
Review and analyze Walmart and Amazon catalogs for opportunities for pricing strategies, inventory optimization, etc.
Review marketplace metrics such as returns, damaged in transit, recommend changes to improve losses from returns and damages.
Work with software team to recommend changes to improve automation of business tasks.
Some physical warehouse work will be required; such as receiving customer returns.
Other e-commerce related tasks as needed.
Requirements
Basic photography skills (think using an iphone to get the best shots) to shoot product photos for ebay listings.
Basic understanding of the e-commerce profit equation.
Ability to analyze products and dive deep to understand how to increase sales.
Ability to think critically about the entire lifecycle of a product; make decisions to improve sales and profitability.
Self motivated; work with a sense of urgency.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Misc Notes:
The role is mostly in-person however the opportunity to complete some work from home after initial few weeks is possible. Office is located inside our warehouse where products are stored.
Pay is negotiable and based on experience.
This is a 1099 contract role; however computer, photography equipment, etc is fully provided.
The role will be yours to continually evolve as you learn and see great results.
Schedule is flexible--weekday-daytime hours for in-person work will be required; however which days/hours you work will be up to you.
Opportunity to work full-time hours as the role progresses is also possible.
