Role description
About the Role:
As the E-commerce Manager at Surftech, you will lead the digital sales strategy and execution for our diverse portfolio of surf and paddle sports brands. You will own the full e-commerce lifecycle β from website management to digital marketing, sales growth, and customer experience optimization. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external agencies, and brand partners to drive online revenue, increase traffic, and enhance conversion rates across multiple brand websites.
Key Responsibilities:
Website Management & Optimization
β’ Oversee and manage Surftechβs primary e-commerce platforms:Β www.surftech.comΒ andΒ www.us.nspsurfboards.com
β’ Collaborate with the Marketing Director and Design teams to maintain site aesthetics, ensure timely delivery of images, graphics, and copy
β’ Ensure site functionality, product uploads, inventory accuracy, and seamless user experience
β’ Monitor and improve website traffic, conversion rates, and overall site performance through analytics and A/B testing
β’ Stay ahead of digital trends, tools, and technologies to continuously optimize site UX and SEO
β’ Coordinate with Product Line Management (PLM) and brand partners for timely product launches on the website
E-commerce Strategy & Sales Growth
β’ Develop and execute comprehensive e-commerce sales strategies aligned with company goals and budget
β’ Drive online revenue growth by proposing targeted sales campaigns, promotional pricing, and MAP policy enforcement in collaboration with Sales Management
β’ Manage relationships and deliverables with digital marketing agencies and external contractors to maximize ROI
β’ Oversee all digital marketing channels including PPC, SEO, Display Advertising, Affiliate Marketing, Email Marketing, and Social Media campaigns
β’ Work with Sales Operations to align product availability with online demand, and identify slow-moving inventory for strategic promotions
β’ Lead execution of the annual e-commerce promotional calendar
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Customer Experience
β’ Partner with Customer Service and Warehouse teams to ensure best-in-class order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
β’ Collaborate with web developers and software engineers to enhance site features, speed, and functionality
β’ Provide ongoing feedback on distributor and partner sites to share best practices and optimize shared channels
Reporting & Analytics
β’ Deliver monthly performance reports covering e-commerce sales, expenses, traffic, conversion, and KPIs
β’ Analyze data to identify opportunities for growth and provide actionable insights to leadership
Qualifications & Keywords:
β’ Proven experience managing B2C e-commerce platforms, preferably in action sports, outdoor, or lifestyle brands
β’ Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or custom CMS)
β’ Expertise in digital marketing channels: PPC, SEO, email marketing, social media advertising, and affiliate programs
β’ Analytical mindset with experience in Google Analytics, A/B testing tools, and performance reporting
β’ Experience managing third-party agencies and cross-functional teams
β’ Strong project management and communication skills
