Role description
About the Role: We are seeking a strategic, execution-focused leader to oversee our E-Commerce and Marketing department, with full ownership of omnichannel brand growth across platforms like Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, eBay, and more. This role balances visionary thinking with operational excellence—leading a dynamic cross-functional team, managing our customer service division (through a direct report), and owning the strategic relationship with our external marketing agency. This role reports directly to executive leadership and is central to driving revenue growth, platform innovation, and consistent brand presence across digital and physical channels. Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Collaboration • Lead a multi-disciplinary team of full-time staff, freelancers, and external agencies across marketing, creative, advertising, and e-commerce functions. • Provide mentorship, performance feedback, and clear KPIs to specialists in paid media, creative, social, content, email, analytics, and customer service. • Foster cross-team collaboration to ensure brand-aligned campaigns and digital initiatives. • Collaborate with a mid-level CS Manager to align customer service goals with marketing and operational insights. Project & Workflow Management • Own project management and prioritization via Asana or equivalent tools to ensure on-time delivery of campaigns, product launches, content, and optimization initiatives. • Manage overlapping deadlines across platform teams, brand campaigns, and agency workstreams. Platform Strategy & Ownership • Provide strategic oversight for all e-commerce platforms, with a focus on Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central performance. • Partner with channel owners (Shopify, eBay, Walmart) to define and meet, or ideally exceed, quarterly and annual revenue goals, operational roadmaps, and channel expansion strategies. • Identify opportunities for product listing enhancements, conversion optimization, and content upgrades across marketplaces. Advertising & Agency Management • Act as primary liaison with our external agency on website redesign, digital marketing operations, and strategic growth projects. • Collaborate closely with in-house and freelance media buyers to ensure campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Amazon, and eBay align with core business goals. • Oversee budget allocation, ROAS analysis, and advertising experimentation in partnership with analytics and channel specialists. Marketing Strategy & Brand Execution • Drive integrated campaign planning across all channels, aligning social media, email, creative, and performance marketing with business priorities. • Collaborate with freelance designers and internal creative stakeholders to build a cohesive, scalable visual identity across all platforms and B2B clients. • Support new product launches and promotions with end-to-end go-to-market strategies. Qualifications: • 6–10 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or marketplace strategy, with at least 3 years in a team leadership role. • Deep experience with Amazon (Seller and/or Vendor Central) is essential. • Proven ability to lead teams across functions like marketing, design, and analytics. • Highly organized with hands-on experience in Asana or similar PM tools. • Data-driven mindset with experience managing paid media strategies across multiple channels. • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
