We are looking for an E-commerce Trading Manager who combines commercial acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset - someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, spots opportunities early, and isn’t afraid to test, learn, and adapt to drive results.
Position: E-commerce Trading Manager
Responsibilities:
Trading & Commercial Growth
• Develop and deliver the e-commerce trading strategy for UK and US markets, aligned with commercial and brand objectives.
• Own monthly revenue targets, using performance data to optimise sales, margin, and conversion.
• Monitor and analyse KPIs including traffic sources, conversion rates, and AOV, implementing rapid trading actions to maximise results.
• Take a proactive, test-and-learn approach to trading decisions — identifying underperforming areas and new opportunities to accelerate growth.
Onsite Merchandising & Customer Journey
• Manage site navigation, product categorisation, filters, and search to improve discoverability and sell-through.
• Continuously optimise landing pages, product placement, and checkout to enhance UX and conversion rates.
• Ensure all category updates, seasonal changes, and campaigns are executed to a high standard and aligned with trading priorities.
Collaboration & Reporting
• Work closely with Buying, Merchandising, CRM, and Marketing to ensure site activity supports stock flow, campaign performance, and brand positioning.
• Produce clear daily and weekly trade reports, highlighting actions to improve performance.
• Review customer behaviour and journeys, implementing data-led optimisations to improve engagement and conversion.
Requirements:
• 3+ years’ experience in e-commerce/trading management within a fast-growth D2C retail environment.
• Proven track record in delivering sales growth through trading actions.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to make quick, data-led decisions.
• Proficiency in Shopify Plus and strong understanding of digital marketing’s impact on trading performance.
• Analytical, with excellent numerical skills and the ability to forecast and plan effectively.
• Experience in financial planning and understanding of P&L drivers.
• Entrepreneurial approach to trading - proactive, resourceful, and able to balance quick wins with longer-term growth strategies.
• Jewellery or fashion e-commerce experience is a plus
