General Summary The E-Commerce Site Merchandiser is responsible for executing tactical site merchandising strategies across La Jolla Group's portfolio of e-commerce websites. This role focuses on optimizing product presentation, site navigation, and visual merchandising to maximize conversion rates and enhance customer experience. The Site Merchandiser works closely with the Director of E-Commerce Buying & Merchandising to implement data-driven merchandising decisions and supports promotional campaigns that drive sales and customer engagement across all brand websites. Essential Job Functions β€’ Site Merchandising: Manage daily/seasonal updates, product placement, categorization, search optimization, and A/B testing to drive conversions. β€’ Product Presentation: Ensure accurate, engaging product pages with consistent imagery, descriptions, bundling/upselling strategies, and brand alignment. β€’ Promotions & Campaigns: Execute promotional pages, seasonal collections, product launches, and marketing campaign support in line with calendars. β€’ Performance & Optimization: Monitor site and product metrics, report KPIs, address underperforming products, and update inventory status. β€’ Collaboration: Work with creative, UX/UI, inventory, and customer service teams to enhance site experience and consistency across channels. β€’ Reporting & Analysis: Produce performance reports, analyze customer behavior/trends, and provide insights to inform future merchandising strategies. Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities β€’ Technical Expertise: Proficient with e-commerce platforms (Shopify), CMS/PIM tools, basic HTML/CSS, web analytics (Google Analytics), and design software (Adobe Suite, Canva). β€’ Merchandising & Industry Knowledge: Strong grasp of digital merchandising, product lifecycle, inventory management, fashion/apparel trends, and seasonal cycles. β€’ Analytical Skills: Experienced in interpreting site performance data, customer behavior metrics, A/B testing, and conversion optimization. β€’ Project & Time Management: Able to manage multiple websites/projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high quality and attention to detail. β€’ Communication & Collaboration: Strong written and verbal communication; effective cross-functional teamwork. β€’ Personal Abilities: Detail-oriented, adaptable in fast-paced environments, creative problem solver, and highly organized. Required Education And Experience β€’ 2-4 years of e-commerce merchandising, digital marketing, or related experience, preferably in apparel or retail industry. β€’ Experience with Shopify and basic web content management required. Physical Requirements Seeing: Must be able to see well enough to read reports. Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with customers, vendors and employees. Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up products. Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds. Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to type and use technical sources.
