Director of Ecommerce (Strategy + Execution)
Location: Remote (Hybrid if local)
Position Type: Full-Time
Reports to: CEO
About the Role:
We're a fast-growing beauty brand seeking a Director of Ecommerce to own and operate our DTC channel. This role blends strategy with hands-on execution. You'll drive site performance, manage technology, and optimize every touchpoint of the customer journey. From roadmap planning (GWP, subscriptions, loyalty) to flawless execution, you'll partner cross-functionally to bring our vision to life and fuel growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set and execute the DTC site roadmap (GWP, subscriptions, quizzes, upsells, loyalty).
• Manage product launches, promotions, and site operations end-to-end.
• Lead site personalization, recommendations, and conversion optimization.
• Select, implement, and optimize Shopify apps (Recharge, Rebuy, Loop, etc).
• Oversee SEO strategy and landing page technologies to drive visibility and traffic.
• Partner with the Digital Marketing Director to align on acquisition and retention strategies, and collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, CX, and other teams to ensure seamless execution across the customer journey.
• Track KPIs (conversion rate, AOV, UPT, LTV), report on performance, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure promotions and campaigns are executed flawlessly with rigorous QA.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of eCommerce experience (DTC beauty or consumer goods preferred).
• Shopify Plus expert with experience in tools like Klaviyo, Recharge, Rebuy, Loop, Octane, etc.
• Strong project management skills and ability to deliver cross-functional initiatives.
• Analytical and data-driven; strong grasp of SEO and conversion optimization.
• Clear communicator, collaborative team player, customer-obsessed, and solutions-focused.
Bonus:
• Track record of contributing to aggressive DTC growth, in fast-scaling environments.
• Strong mobile UX and fast MVP execution.
• Experience with advanced personalization tools that drive conversion and retention (e.g., Rebuy)
