Role description
Ashton Gate Stadium is a unique sports and entertainment business with the core aim of providing integral support services to ensure the sustainability of Stephen Lansdown’s sporting group of companies which includes Bristol Sport, Bristol City, Bristol Bears, Bristol Flyers Basketball and each of their respective community charities.
Job Purpose
The Ecommerce Executive is responsible for the day-to-day management of the online retail platform, ensuring it runs smoothly to drive online retail sales. The role combines ecommerce management with digital marketing, driving sales, product visibility, and customer engagement across our digital platforms.
You will work closely with the club’s retail, marketing, media, and design teams to promote products, launch campaigns, organise photoshoots and optimise the customer journey, ensuring a seamless and engaging online shopping experience for our supporters. Additionally, you will be responsible for analysing sales data and generating insights to optimise our ecommerce strategies and support the overall retail business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (KPIs)
Ecommerce Platform Management & Optimisation
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the online store, ensuring the site is fully functional, accurately stocked, and user-friendly to maximise the online retail sales.
• Manage the creation of engaging product descriptions, images, and SEO-optimised content to enhance online visibility and increase the website traffic.
• Liaise with the Retail software provider (currently RSS) to implement website enhancements and continuously improve the user experience (UX) and conversion rates.
Lead Product Launches and Campaigns
• Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive sales and increase product visibility, particularly for new kit launches, merchandise, and any promotional offers.
• Collaborate with the marketing & media teams to develop promotional campaigns, email marketing, website articles and social media posts that drive online sales and customer engagement.
• Coordinate and manage photoshoots for new products, ensuring high-quality visuals that represent the brand and product range. This includes liaising with in-house photographers, suppliers, models, and other stakeholders.
• Lead and manage requests for branded materials through Fever Pitch, both digital and in-store, ensuring a level of consistency across the store and ecommerce platform.
Reporting and Analysis
• Regularly monitor and report on sales performance, using analytics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and product performance insights. Provide actionable recommendations based on findings.
• the full potential of our ecommerce platform to ensure we can track and report on offers and promotions at a granular level, enabling detailed analysis of campaign effectiveness and providing actionable insights for future strategies.

Essential

• Demonstrable experience in ecommerce and digital marketing, ideally within the sports retail sector.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, CMS systems and digital marketing tools.
• Dynamic and results driven with excellent analytical skills and a focus on using sales and customer data to inform strategy.
Desirable
• Experience in managing product photoshoots, from planning to execution.
• Ability to use Canva or similar design tools to an intermediate level a plus.
• Proficiency in analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Excel.
Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday
Salary: up to £30,000 per annum
