Role description
About Nikura Nikura is one of the UK’s leading and fastest-growing aromatherapy ecommerce brands. Founded in 2016 and family-owned, Nikura creates and manufactures high-quality essential oils, fragrance oils, carrier oils and diffusers to promote well-being, support relaxation, and enable creativity. Since the brand's inception, Nikura has brought high quality oils and scents to millions of customers, ranging from aromatherapy users, beauty enthusiasts, and SMEs making candles and soaps. Today, Nikura is on a fast growth trajectory, driven by exceptional product quality, a first-class customer experience, and competitive market positioning. The Role We are looking for a commercially driven and technically adept ecommerce manager to own Nikura’s Shopify platform, the website optimisation strategy, and online customer experience in the pursuit of our revenue goals. Reporting to the Head of Growth, you will be responsible for Nikura’s merchandising strategy and lead the day-to-day planning, execution and optimisation of our digital store to help increase online revenue, AOV and customer lifetime value. You will be part of a small, friendly and highly-motivated team, working closely with our CRO agency, Shopify development agency, marketing team, and design agency to deliver high impact promotional campaigns, timely product launches and a seamless online customer journey. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring strong merchandising instincts, good analytical judgement and an ability to move quickly to get things done. Responsibilities • Own the end-to-end management of the Nikura’s Shopify store, including merchandising strategy, UX, conversion optimisation, performance and apps/integrations. • Manage promotional campaigns, new product launches, pricing, category curation, and inventory visibility. • Use data to develop and implement strategies that can increase online revenue, AOV, and overall customer lifetime value. • Manage relationships with our CRO agency and Shopify development agency to support site functionality, performance and improvement. • Own the QA process for site content and functionality, keep on top of site issues and co-ordinate with technical partners to resolve problems. • Collaborate with the content and creative teams to create a high-converting, consistent look and feel across the site content. • Analyse and report on product sales and site performance, focusing on sales trends, conversion rates, PDP engagement, on-site search and sell-through rates. • Create merchandising and promotional strategies that can help the marketing team with more targeted promotional activity and support greater customer retention. Qualifications • 4+ years experience in ecommerce, ideally for a DTC consumer brand. • Experience with Shopify Plus and a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem. • Strong understanding of online merchandising, promotional planning, and new product launches. • Highly analytical and data-literate. Competent with Excel/Google Sheets and familiar with ecommerce tools like Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, Convert, Figma, Supermetrics, and Hotjar. • Detail-oriented with a good eye for clean and clear product presentation, design and merchandising best practices. • Strong project management and organisational skills - someone who can handle competing priorities and deadlines. • A highly-motivated and collaborative team player who is excited about the opportunity to join a fast-growing D2C company. • A passion and interest in essential oils, scents and aromatherapy is desirable although not essential. Salary & Benefits • £50 to £65k depending on experience. • Office located in North London, Zone 3. • Flexible working arrangements: office based between 2-3 days per week. How to apply • Please upload your CV and a short cover letter outlining your relevant experience and interest.
