Job Title: Ecommerce Manager (Maternity Cover)
Job Type: Full Time (35hrs p/wk), 1 year Fixed Term Contract
Location: Hybrid working: 2-3 days in office at HA9, rest working from home
The Role
Weβre looking for an experienced and organised eCommerce Manager to join our team on a maternity cover contract. This role is central to supporting the growth of our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business.
Youβll work closely with internal teams, external agencies and senior stakeholders to keep our website trading smoothly, ensure best practice customer experience, and deliver against commercial targets.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and confidence working with data and Excel are essential, alongside the ability to plan, organise and guide others. Youβll bring structure and focus to trading performance, merchandising, UX optimisation and cross-functional planning, keeping the wider team aligned to deadlines and goals.
This role reports to the Head of Digital Marketing and D2C.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design and implement e-commerce strategies to grow brand awareness, maximise site performance and increase sales.
β’ Manage the day-to-day trading and product launch calendars across our UK eCommerce sites.
β’ Ensure a seamless e-commerce journey by resolving customer needs and enhancing satisfaction throughout the purchase process.
β’ Utilise customer segmentation and behavioural data to support targeted campaigns and personalised user experiences.
β’ Support the execution of multi-channel campaigns by aligning website content and product strategy with broader marketing initiatives.
β’ Line management of 1 x eCommerce Assistant.
β’ Work closely with Development & SEO Agencies, Digital Executive and wider teams to coordinate tasks, maintain timelines and meet deadlines.
β’ Act as main point of contact for external web development agency and third-party partners.
β’ Monitor site performance and recommend trading actions to maximise sales and conversion.
β’ Oversee product merchandising, pricing and content in line with the marketing calendar and brand priorities.
β’ Analyse product performance, website traffic and conversion data to identify opportunities.
β’ Proactively review site UX, customer journeys and navigation, suggesting improvements to drive sales and reduce friction.
β’ Support website integrations and functionality with ERP systems.
β’ Collaborate with Finance and Planning teams on sales forecasting and performance tracking.
β’ Lead weekly trade reporting and contribute to trading meetings with clear insights and actions.
β’ Ensure website processes and trading best practices are consistently followed across teams.
β’ Keep up-to-date with the latest e-commerce trends, technologies and best practices.
Requirements
β’ Highly organised, with experience managing complex eCommerce activity across teams.
β’ Strong understanding of customer segmentation and strategic targeting.
β’ Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives, particularly in eCommerce, digital marketing or trading.
β’ Experience in planning, executing, and optimising multi-channel campaigns across web, email and digital advertising.
β’ Strong commercial mindset with excellent analytical and Excel skills.
β’ Confident interpreting website data to spot trading patterns and recommend actions.
β’ Clear and collaborative communicator, comfortable guiding cross-functional teams.
β’ Experience managing agencies and third-party tech partners.
β’ Previous eCommerce trading and merchandising experience essential.
β’ UX, UI or CRO knowledge beneficial.
β’ Knowledge of Google Analytics, Data Studio, AEM and Magento advantageous.
β’ Able to balance long-term planning with fast problem solving.
β’ Strong team player who works well under pressure and shifting priorities
β’ Proven experience in managing, mentoring and motivating direct reports with a strong focus on development, performance and team morale.
