About the Job:
Pacsun’s IT eCommerce team uses AI and innovative technologies to enhance customer experience and improve operational efficiency. The eCommerce QA Analyst supports the QA team to ensure that the company’s eCommerce and mobile app provide a reliable and secure shopping experience. The QA Analyst will handle daily production QA as well as test new features, functionality, enhancements and bug fixes, find defects and report effectively. Contribute ideas that improve customer experience.
A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:
• The QA Analyst will partner closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to test new features, validate enhancements, and help deliver a reliable, customer-first digital experience.
• Conduct manual testing tasks on web and mobile applications to identify issues and report in an effective manner.
• Help update, maintain and script some test cases and checklists under guidance from the QA Lead.
• Record and report bugs using a tracking system, including clear steps to reproduce each issue.
• Participate in regression testing to verify that recent changes haven’t broken existing functionality.
• Collaborate with developers, QA team members, and project managers to clarify requirements and communicate findings.
• Conduct cross‑browser and multi device testing to ensure consistency across different devices.
• Support the team in gathering information for performance and security testing when needed.
What it takes to Join:
• 2-4 years of QA experience, preferably in eCommerce or digital platforms.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/SFRA) or similar commerce platforms.
• Experience testing personalization/optimization platforms (e.g., Dynamic Yield, Optimizely.).
• Strong understanding of browsers, responsive design, and device testing.
• Experience with usability, functionality, acceptance and regression testing
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Ability to independently perform ad hoc and quick smoke testing for quick fixes and smaller changes
• Good understanding of how mobile apps work along with independently being able to prepare for tests, including installing test builds on test devices and knowing the best testing approach
• Ability to simultaneously test across different web browsers and multiple mobile devices
• Validate A/B test variations, personalization campaigns, and analytics tracking setup.
• Analytical skills & attention to detail: Able to identify patterns and anomalies in test results and think critically.
• Communication skills: Clear verbal and written communication in English for documenting defects and collaborating with the team. Communicate effectively with in-house and remote development team to discuss and provide additional details and steps to recreate issues
• Collaboration & problem‑solving: Comfortable working in agile teams and willing to ask questions and share ideas.
• Fundamental QA knowledge: Through understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
Preferred skills
• Adapt to change easily and demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of e‑commerce platforms, payment gateways and order management systems.
• Understanding of backend validation, systems and end to end testing
• Experience with bug tracking and project management tools, preferred Jira and Wrike, test case management systems and cross‑browser testing tools.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript for inspecting web pages and identifying front‑end issues.
• Understanding of user stories and software requirements.
