Role description
About Us:
We’re on a mission to build a world-class distribution channel for the salon furnishing industry—a space that has traditionally been slow, outdated, and resistant to change. We see the opportunity to do things better, faster, and smarter—and we’re committed to leading that transformation.
But we know we can’t do it alone. To disrupt this industry, we’re building a team of sharp, driven individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are ready to take ownership and execute with precision. Our team of 30+ professionals comes from diverse backgrounds, and we work together with a shared mindset: move quickly, solve problems, and deliver results.
Our Core Values:
• Be respectful and win as a team
• Stay proactive and take initiative
• Pursue growth and improvement
• Approach issues with a solution
• Deliver results consistently
• Always do the right thing
About the Role:
We're hiring an experienced, detail-obsessed E-commerce Administrator to take full ownership of our e-commerce operations across both SalonCity (SC) and AYC. This means making sure product listings, pricing, and order processing are executed with precision and consistency across both platforms (currently BigCommerce for AYC, soon migrating to Shopify).
You won't directly manage inventory, but you'll play a vital role in interpreting data—identifying slow-moving inventory at 120, 180, and 360+ day marks—and using that insight to adjust pricing and product strategy. This role is central to how we maintain efficiency, boost conversions, and push our company forward in a traditionally stagnant industry.
If you're someone who doesn't wait for instructions, solves problems as they arise, and always delivers clean, accurate work—you’ll thrive here. We don’t want task-takers. We want ownership-minded operators.
Key Responsibilities (Updated):
• Product Listings: Create, update, and optimize keyword-rich listings on SC and AYC (BigCommerce → Shopify), ensuring accuracy, SEO effectiveness, and visual appeal.
• Order Processing (SC & AYC): Handle end-to-end order management—ensuring everything ships on time and any issues are resolved promptly and thoroughly.
• Inventory Insights & Pricing Adjustments: Spot slow-moving products at 120, 180, and 360+ days and adjust pricing strategically on both platforms to accelerate sell-through.
• Pricing Strategy: Track market trends and competitor pricing to support profitable and competitive pricing across all categories.
• Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with the marketing, branding, creative, and operations teams—including those responsible for purchasing and inventory tracking—to ensure alignment across product availability, pricing, and merchandising strategies. Share actionable insights that support sales goals, optimize listings, and maintain stock accuracy.
• Performance Reporting: Analyze KPIs (sales, ACoS, ROAS, TACoS, traffic, etc.) and report findings in daily team meetings, weekly recaps, and monthly reviews.
• A/B Testing: Conduct ongoing tests on product images, titles, and descriptions to improve click-through and conversion rates.
• Market Research: Stay ahead of industry and e-commerce platform trends and provide recommendations that support growth and innovation.
What We’re Looking For:
• 3+ years of experience in e-commerce operations (especially with Shopifyas we will be migrating away from Big Commerce to Shopify for our AYC site)
• Deep understanding of listing optimization, pricing strategy, and order fulfillment workflows
• Strong command of spreadsheets, data analysis, and performance metrics
• Obsessed with details and quality—no tolerance for sloppy or incomplete work
• Proactive communicator who asks the right questions when clarity is needed
• Culturally aligned with a fast-moving, collaborative, and feedback-driven team
Important Culture Note:
This isn’t a place where you just show up and go through the motions and go home. We move fast, and we expect results. If "work-life balance" is your primary concern, this role won’t be the right fit. We value performance, ownership, and momentum. Once your task is done, you’re expected to be asking, “What’s next?”
Why You’ll Want to Be Here:
• You'll help redefine how an entire industry operates
• You’ll be trusted with real responsibility and meaningful impact
• You'll work with a team that values precision, speed, and solutions
• You’ll grow fast in a company that rewards initiative and results
If you're ready to take ownership of our e-commerce platforms and help us build the future of salon furnishing distribution—apply now with your resume and a short summary of your experience.
